International Psychic Experiment

Psychic experiment

Hello

I would like you to join me in my international psychic experiment. Please look at this photograph. Try to imagine who he is, his character, when he lived. He is now gone, but never forgotten, we all leave something behind in the way of energy. I would like you to try and tap into that energy by examining the picture.

If you are talented and have a lively mind with a personality to match, you will discover a lot of information about this man and it will start to flood in. If the information doesn’t come immediately print him off and carry him around for a couple of days, making notes as the information comes in. To join in with this experiment, post a comment below, however post your comment BEFORE you read what others have sensed.

I will analyse your thoughts and discover how accurate you are as part of this experiment. I will be in touch.

These are the images/words I am getting from the picture
Cheeky chappie, carefree, liked sports, horses, music, dancing, view of a cliff, beach and water. Getting 1940’s, 1950’s and drawn to his feet for some reason.

Hi, I hope I’m posting this comment in the right place for the international experiment!
First impressions: the man is confident and has a lively sense of humour. I feel he has just received good news. He has not been married long and possibly has heard about a child (daughter) on the way. Also he has heard he is in line for promotion or salary raise at work. Life is going very smoothly for him at the time the photo was taken. I don’t know where he lives, but feel it is in the North of England, well anywhere from the Midlands up. The photo is taken shortly before a house move.
    Was this your grandfather, Heidi?

He does look very happy and seems to be a bit of a lad, gone out for his morning paper, and I am wondering if he is on holiday. The name or the term Butcher comes to mind. He seems to walk quite fast.
This is early to mid fifties judging by the clothes and the car.

I feel this man lead a difficult life and in this picture just received some good news. I feel he’s thinking about time or my time has come or it’s finally over. I feel he was in the war as I see amunition around him. He is married to a petite woman, dark haired and a baby boy is their offspring. He is very quick in processing information and leaves nothing to go by without noticing it and always takes action on what is presented to him if he feels it will serve him. He died in his 70’s maybe 80’s and did drink quite a bit. He was comfortable in his life, he did manage to have a car – maybe drove one as an occupation, but I see him working with numbers and lots of paper. I also see him in a factory repairing things. I think he had two daughters or nieces he liked. he was a determined person when he put his mind to it. As a child he got up to a lot of mischief – he had brothers, I think he was one of the youngest. I see German ancestry. He fought well in the war and detached his feelings from it so as to survive. His wife died before him.He was a good family man, hard worker but loved to hang out with the lads and have his beer. He was good at instructing and guiding people. But in this photo I sense pain in the close past it’s as if things are just starting to pick up. He didn’t care much for school and loved going to dances, was quite the charmer as girls considered him a catch. I think he has reincarnated as an immigrant from a European country and should be in his late 60’s now.

  5. 5 Cassandra October 2, 2009 at 2:19 pm

Either 1942 or 1952 – I think this is my head arguing with my gut. This is a man who likes to hide his feelings; some people felt he was quite an arrogant man but in a nice way. Confident he likes to feel he is in complete control; he’s just met someone he is quite fond of and he is trying to not let it show. He is thinking of a pretty blonde lady in a flower dress and worrying about finances.

  6. 6 Ryan Waterson October 2, 2009 at 3:07 pm

The name Robert comes to mind daughter called Claire he left behind, photo in the 60’s lived from the second world war til the 70’s died early age accident.

  7. 7 Colleen Pearse October 2, 2009 at 3:10 pm

I’m picking up the name Robert. Also, the word Camden – possibly a location or a last name associated with this man. I feel he is of Irish descent or has some sort of tie with Ireland – possibly through a relationship that was important to him. Also, I feel he has a career involving the written word, possibly with a newspaper.

  8. 8 Pauline October 2, 2009 at 3:24 pm

. Smoker, thums up at the camera, he is happy with the shot.
. Newspaper shows he keeps up with current affairs and sport. Possibly played cricket.
. Loves to have a drink and a laugh with his mates.
. Bit of a ladies man and knows how to talk to them.
. Not so good with jokes being made at him.

Despite the fact this person looks slim within the picture, I feel in later life he battled with weight related illness issues.
Felt problems around the stomach, moving up in to the chest area. A health issue he battled with.
Right shoulder has some discomfort – perhaps he injured this area possibly through playing cricket – a bowler?
Knees clicking – cartilage problems, perhaps a need for a knee replacement op.
Funloving on the outside, but found it difficult to speak his truth and be open with his feelings and emotions. Feel he had a loving relationship though his partner found it easier to show her affections than he did his! A sense that people should ‘know’ how he felt about them, without him having to actually say it out loud.
Being shown problems with his hand writing – somewhat illegible, but I feel this relates to a medical condition.
Involved in a car ‘accident/incident’ perhaps in his 20’s – loved speed – was a man of action before thinking of the consequences.
Later life – quite high up in whatever business he was involved with; a fair employer/boss; didn’t suffer fools; called a spade a spade.
Feel their are issues with his right leg, particularly his ankle.
Arthritis in hands in later life – general aches and pains.
Feel his father had passed before the photo was taken and this energy watches over him. Not a good relationship with his dad during his father’s lifetime, as a consequence his mother was often the go between/referee/mediator between them. His father was another ‘energy’ who found it difficult to show his feelings – his son was somewhat of a ‘chip off the old block.’

  12. 12 Liza October 2, 2009 at 4:03 pm

    Hi,

Well the first thing is when I look at the picture, it made me smile. It just made me happy to look at this man in the picture. Friendly, enjoyed life, if not the life of the party, then the soul and heart of the party. I sense someone who enjoyed the finer things in life but not in a pretentious, arrogant way. He just thought life should be enjoyed. I see someone who got along well with both men and women,he was a bit flirty but not in a sleazy way. I kept hearing the word “darling” like he would call women “darling” or other endearments like that. Dapper and jaunty are the words that come to mind when I see this picture. The phrase “life is what you make it” comes to mind and that was his attitude. Even if things do not go great, he felt he had a choice in how he dealt with things and he didn’t let much get him down for long. Even if his physical body seemingly betrayed him later in life, he didn’t let that destroy his spirit. He had a great sense of fun, could laugh like no one else, I think that is why I liked him right off when I saw his picture.

Hope I am at least in the ballpark here!!

    Love & Blessings,
    Liza

  13. 13 Graham October 2, 2009 at 4:04 pm

Hi This is a person whos mind had no boundaries he always had something going on in his head, especially matters of business or money making ideas he also i feel was quite a practical man good with his hands and i feel there was a link with cars or garages in some way
I am getting the name david and also the name mary i feel his mother was a lady who was quite strong in character she knew a lot of people and also was a good cook.

Also i feel there is something to do with the legs or feet? was there an injury to this area at some point?
and i am being drawn to the stomach area quite strongly and i wouldnt be suprised if this man suffered with his stomach maybe acid stomach ulcers or even surgery at some point in this area

I also sense 2 children around this man and i feel the energy is feminine on both.

This person has a definite drive to him very determined person once he gets something in his mind he says to me that his grandfather was the same and he took some of his influence from him he or his father was a heavy smoker and there is a strong smell of tobacco in my mouth and nose this may have caused health problems in these areas at some time.

i am also picking up on a factory or tannery or similar type of environment but im not sure wether it is this man who worked in such an environment or his father.

This man was very much a hands on type of person very practical guy and could be relied upon

I feel also he may have been a family member or someone very close to the family maybe he might have been your father if so do you also have a sister who is older than you?

im also getting the name Ted

My wife thinks he was in a band and used to play the guitar i personally feel he did have a musical talent whether he realised it or not and that talent was playing the piano.

timewise i feel it may have been 1948 or 1950 i also get the feeling he liked a drink too and had many female admirers

  14. 14 Francine October 2, 2009 at 4:13 pm

Drank, partied, sad deep within, in charge of something, hotel, building, lonely somehow, did he dance the jitterbug or something weird like that? I keep hearing this music in my head that sounds like big band or some type of period music. Gambler came from somewhere. I am probably way off…

  15. 15 Catherine October 2, 2009 at 4:19 pm

    Hi Heidi
I am going to write all the things I got as if they are facts, in the present tense, but actually, I would want to say … is that right? after each. So, please realise that I am not being, erm, pushy! if you see what I mean.

His name is Harry. He is a happy go lucky sort of chap and expresses his joviality in a physical way as well as through his sense of humour. He ends ‘jokey’ sentences with the word ‘then?’ eg, how’s it going then, whats up then, what did you do then… etc.

He is a responsible person but doesn’t let that ‘drag him down’ as such, having a happy countenance… even a little flighty. He sings/hums (for himself as opposed to an audience).

He is holding a cup-shaped silver trophy. He was ‘into’ sport of a more sedentary nature, like golf, cricket, etc., a keen participant. He is active in ’short bursts’, like, running up the street, or dancing a jib on the spot for fun… things like that.

There is a connection to water. I don’t know if it is connected, but have a name ‘Oriel’ or perhaps ‘Aurielle’ but this suggests a boat name to me!!!

He is not English but spoke english well with a trace of native accent.

He liked dogs. He has a spaniel (springer?) black and white with him.

He says the name Ken and is nodding his head.

    He has an angelic connection.

His death is from something drawing his life out of him, as it were, as opposed to an accident. So, an illness – perhaps cancer of throat, oesophagus, lung.

He is laying a bunch of red roses on a grave, for ‘Maria’ he says… “I used to like to feel her hair” showing me running his fingers through her fair hair… “I did love her, but she’s gone and I still love her, but life must go on”. This scene ss a few years on from Maria’s death.

    He loved the colour Blue.

I keep seeing a gold ‘fob watch’, but not necessarily his.

He was not a manual worker. I see him in a business type environment, possibly working with money.

Well, this is where I take a big gulp and press the submit button…

    Cath x

spent majority of his life up until this photo, single not married, loves beauty, the arts, possibly worked in the entertainment/ media business. Also modeled or posed for a publication or feels like he performed, produced, or directed films during some point. He has a carefree spirit and a health confident personality. Popular with the ladies, well liked by his mates, he fancy comfortable, fine clothes. He really enjoyed shooting this photo. Roughly, photos takes place around the 1930’s or so. He might have recently passed along within the last 10 years.

  17. 17 Viv October 2, 2009 at 4:23 pm

The year was 1957 friends called him Barney/Barnet,Bertie or Les. He was a very cheeky, chirpy guy with a great upbeat sense of humour. He was very quick witted and jokey. However, he had a dark side that few people realised in that he suffered mini bouts of depression.

He was exceedingly flirtatious and ladies were drawn to him. He was very light on his feet and could dance brilliantly. He loved jazz and skiffle.

He also loved tennis and cricket, the latter sadly caused him a shoulder injury and he had to give up playing so much, or even at all.

His passion was horse racing … he loved a flutter or two, or three!!!

He was in the army and his contemporaries loved him, because he had such a positive spirit and he always made them laugh and he gave them courage when things were not good.

He also had a desire to own a boat … a sea going vessel rather than a row boat. It didnt happen, but he loved the dream. He loved the sea … and liked going to Brighton.

He lived in London for a time, but was born in Lancashire/Yorkshire or Liverpool.

When he was young he was extremely inquisitive, always wanting to know how things worked and how to make a penny or two.

He helped on a milk round when he was a boy.

He had determination and tenacity and whatever he did he did to the maximum and he scattered popularity wherever he went.

  18. 18 Gaylene October 2, 2009 at 4:29 pm

I have several things that came to mind. One has something to do with flying. Either he was a pilot or flew quite a lot. The number 78 is also very strong. This could mean he crossed over in 1978, he was 78 when he crossed or a significant event happened in his life in 1978. The other thing that comes up is 4 children. He either comes from a family of 4 children or had 4 children. While this picture shows him looking very happy and carefree, I feel he had some tough times in his life but was a ’survivor’. He could be strong willed and stubborn, but had a good heart and was there when he was needed.

    Love and Light,
    Gaylene

  19. 19 Liza October 2, 2009 at 4:30 pm

Can I add one more thing? I was looking at Heidi’s eyes and I keep looking at the eyes of the man in the picture. I want to say maybe this is one of Heidi’s relatives but there is a connection to the eyes. Maybe just a random brain cell firing off but that is what I keep looking at. Thanks!!

  20. 20 Marialila October 2, 2009 at 4:31 pm

I’m getting something strong in the stomach area; I see red when looking at it.
Was he linked to flights, airplanes?

    Marialila

  21. 21 Toni October 2, 2009 at 4:32 pm

  22. 22 sam October 2, 2009 at 4:33 pm

last thing that came to my mind but feel its the first thing to put down is silent dont know whether it was a word he may have used or wether it was that he was a silent man, kept things to himself, im not sure, also mans man, liked sport and im thinking rugby, liked a drink and playing cards, something funny about the shoes like maybe a funny storey as i kept looking at them.Children i think later on in life and i think only 1, Acting also poped in my head, something he may have enjoyed.
Never done this before so prob not that great, would love to know if i got anything right.

    Sam

  23. 23 Cyndi October 2, 2009 at 4:37 pm

A charismatic, sometimes a swooner, happy and witty spirit.
1920’s first popped into my head for some reason, but feel
the time period at photo time was in the 1950’s.
“Always in the know” stands out(not sure what that means)
I see some sort of mild addiction and I feel he had a sad period
    in his life.

  24. 24 Megan October 2, 2009 at 4:46 pm

I feel he is definitely a happy, carefree gentleman. I get a sense of family when I look at him. And for some reason, I feel he was taken from this world much too soon. I haven’t worked with my skills much so my insight might not be accurate.

  25. 25 Annabel October 2, 2009 at 4:47 pm

this man is dynamic, bohemian, artistic and inventive. I think he has a talent for writing and his children or a child of his went on to become well known. There is a connection with France – he lived there or was close to someone who did. He is determined and ethusiastic and would inspire those with whom he came into contact.

  26. 26 Sophie October 2, 2009 at 4:57 pm

I got the feeling he was a rather ‘dapper , about town’ man who appeared to exude confidence and calm. He popular and warm with a good sense of comic timing and humour.
Another side to him was thoughtful and very deep, he was possibly troubled by something and he carried that with him for many years.
I feel he was sad/unhappy when he passed over……..so many things left undone!

  27. 27 Karen October 2, 2009 at 5:00 pm

He is a writer, maybe a reporter. He is in Europe, Great Britain. From the clothes and cars, this in the late forty’s or early 50’s. He is a relative of yours, maybe grandfather or uncle. I get the name Greg or Gregg. The letter H, maybe Hartman, Hartford.

  28. 28 Jules October 2, 2009 at 5:01 pm

Have never done anything like this before but I have him as Tony, a Londoner from the East End, recently demobbed from the army. He was at Dunkirk and has a fiance or wife, petite, dark hair Margeret, Maggie, Mandy?? He loves to tell jokes and is quite a raconteur. I see him working with food, serving customers e.g. fishmonger or butcher. He lived into his 50’s

  29. 29 Lani R October 2, 2009 at 5:19 pm

Very self confident, at ease with himself, however I sense some sadness there….

One for the ladies, likes to be the man about town….

I get the feeling he can be easily led sometimes and doesn’t think about the consequences of his actions.

    Likes a drink….

Down to earth – not much by way of material possessions – perhaps money burns a hole in his pocket?

  30. 30 gayle ryan October 2, 2009 at 5:34 pm

uniform ,not his usual clothes,grandad,28,2 girls, airfield, spoke fast, honest, america,in love at time of foto,,smell of hair laquer .rode a bicycle.distinctive smile.was his father passed at this time.

  31. 31 Ruslan October 2, 2009 at 5:59 pm

It feels to me that he is a very likable person. His confidence makes the people around him feel more confident about themselves. I have a feeling that he is no longer alive. Letter D comes up to mind.
    Thank you

  32. 32 Sara October 2, 2009 at 6:06 pm

Immediatley I thought I knew this man, he seemed very familiar. But I dont know him! possibly a relation of Heidi? A bit of a charmer, fun,,very articulate, university of life but very clever too.,,The car and fashion/hair would suggest 1950’s ish,,,did he fly planes ,,loved a sing song… Cant escape the feeling that something is out of place though…

  33. 33 Judy October 2, 2009 at 6:39 pm

This is what comes to mind for me when I look at this picture.
Happy, carefree, extravert, loves life, verymuch an individual, out of the box, young family man, and a risk taker in his life in order to experience as much as he can.
Thank you for this opportunity and I hope I hear the results of it all. Judy

  34. 34 carla October 2, 2009 at 6:59 pm

He seems confident, positive, friendly He is from Wales in the 1930’s. He is a musician, piano?, definitely a sensitive…

  35. 35 Susan Gallon October 2, 2009 at 7:05 pm

As soon as i saw his picture i got car crash whether that is how he died i dont know. I feel he had just recieved information of an entertainment deal either musical or business. I feel he had two children boy and girl. i think he was a fan of jazz music, and that he died in his late twenties early thirties.

  36. 36 Louise October 2, 2009 at 7:07 pm

My first thought was this is Howard Hughes… it’s the 1940’s… flamboyant, master manipulator, a flirt but unable to sustain a relationship.

  37. 37 carol October 2, 2009 at 7:29 pm

Hello Heidi, I feel this is one of your researchers grandfather, he was a lively, cheeky chappie with a strong personality and was very sociable.
I sense the name Brian, maybe his and also the names Doris, Joan and Doreen.
He loved to look at boats or loved to walk along where the boats where moored.
He had three children, two girls and a boy who used to run around his legs in the garden and make him laugh.
He died in the 1960,s of lung cancer, but his favourite saying was ” There’s always time for a cuppa”

    Carol x

  38. 38 lisa October 2, 2009 at 7:38 pm

The first thing that hit me was he looks just like “Sean Penn”. I just see this guy as an actor-type person. It looks like NYC to me. Maybe in the 30s or 40s. Oh no, it is not the U.S. I can tell by the car license. He looks well-to-do. Single, a party good-time Charlie type guy. He may be athletic or a professional sports player or a musician. Whatever he is, he is very accessible to the public and is enjoying life at this point in his life. That will change somewhere down the line. It doesn’t look good.

  39. 39 faye chadwick October 2, 2009 at 8:06 pm

  40. 40 sharon October 2, 2009 at 8:38 pm

ok, first i hope i am on the right bit, ok i went straight to the picture and just wrote the first things that came into my head, connections with north london, yorkshire (the dales) and Holland. The name Slyvia and also a fred/fredrick. The feeling of being happy but also a sadness that follows him. i also see a pair of glasses, something to do with a pair of cufflinks, and a cat. The year of 1957 springs to my mind, parachutes-planes-spitfires. also he liked a little tipple guniness, and maybe an irish connection.
    sharon

  41. 41 heidi October 2, 2009 at 8:45 pm

J name. An accident. On the rakish side. Some sadness.
    Possibly married with children.

  42. 42 Linda October 2, 2009 at 9:00 pm

Feel he may be your uncle. Didn`t live to a ripe old age. Was in show biz of some sort. Seemed confident and outgoing, but had a shy, reflective side. 1940`s to 1950`s.

  43. 43 Theresa October 2, 2009 at 9:01 pm

Picture was taken around 1958, he was very excited when this picture was taken. He seems like a women’s man, very confident and sure of himself with the women. Enjoyed gathering with friends, music, dancing. This picture was taken just before he took a trip, he was going somewhere…I keep seeing a boat??…New begining new life.

  44. 44 Jacquelyn Simmons October 2, 2009 at 9:25 pm

The name Harry or Henry came to mind. Also, had a distinct feeling in my stomach/solar plexus down to my 2nd chakra–is he a boxer or sometimes got into fights over a woman? Almost like being punched, but also finding it kinda funny–which is definitely a trait of a confident character. “Beech” or “beach” came up as another word–not sure if it is a name or that he loved the beach. I sense there is a woman who means a lot to him, more so than your average love. Coins, flicking coins and catching them. Very charming and could be impulsive.

  45. 45 Isabella October 2, 2009 at 9:25 pm

I’m still a young psychic, so this will most likely help my skills. From the picture he seems to be about 34-43 years old in the picture, A nice family guy, His family was Friendly and caring, he didnt like violence, he also had feelings for others. Names that came to my mind were: John, Tom, Thomas, James, or Mike. He looked to be in a place in the North, England perhaps? Funny thing is I felt like I’ve been in that picture before, almost as if I was walking on the sidewalk there before. But I’ve bever been to a place like the one in the picture, I’m not even 20 yet.

  46. 46 Isabella October 2, 2009 at 9:30 pm

Oh, something I left out… He seems to like or just does make people happy. Everytime I see this picture it gives a happy feeling. Almost as if he ran into a good friend and just finished a nice conversation. He has many friends, and a good amount of close ones, who are there for him when he needs them.

  47. 47 Deborah Neel October 2, 2009 at 9:40 pm

I’m feeling this is your Father, or Uncle, and the photo is taken in 1943, England. I feel that he was enjoying a Sunday walk in his fresh new Civilian clothes. I feel he had been in the military (water/ships/navy). He was very happy this day…look at his stride. I feel he had the paper so he could hunt for a job. He was very happy to be safely home. He smoked too much, and enjoyed sipping his scotch. He was a very good provider and loved his family. He loved music, I’m feeling that he played at playing an instrument, perhaps piano. He had a very good sense of humor. I also feel that you could catch him with a newspaper under his arm just about anytime…did he go to work for a newspaper? A writer? It’s the newspaper that catches my eyes.

  48. 48 Lynne October 2, 2009 at 10:12 pm

I think this is Heidi’s grandad Joe. He has recently got married, possibly this was taken by his new wife on their honeymoon. His wife is an attractive, petite blonde lady and they will have two blonde girls. I think he is an architect or journalist, and is well respected for his work. Very dapper and previously a ladies’ man he is very sporty and particularly enjoys cricket and tennis. I think the car in the picture belongs to him and is his pride and joy. He enjoyed travelling and had a comfortable lifestyle. I think his smoking caught up with him and he died of a related cancer after being ill for some time. He loved life and ‘his girls’ and had a lot of friends. A fab grandad, with lots of stories to tell. Much loved and sadly missed by many.

These are the words I got to describe this man and some of his influences or energies around him: outgoing, confident, horseracing, love of a punt, beer, television, language, written word, relative of Heidi’s, 2 children…most likely girls, wife seems distant or sick or has low energy.

  50. 50 Helen October 2, 2009 at 10:42 pm

Straight away I got the names Reg, Reggie or Richard coming into my head and felt a strong link with horses, I think this man liked to place a few bets on horses and enjoyed following horse racing.
I feel he is the uncle/ great uncle of someone you know well. Also getting the name Sophie or Sophia coming through. I think this was his granddaughter’s name.

  51. 51 lyn October 2, 2009 at 10:48 pm

    Hi Heidi,
I would like to give this a shot. I hope I am posting this right. I could be completely wrong on this but when I first looked at this picture I thought it was your father. I also felt it was taken in London sometime in the 40’s. He was a lively man and likeable. Had a good personality. Did he smoke? Worked with his hands I feel. That is all I have for now. Thank you

  55. 55 sean October 3, 2009 at 12:58 am

    I get the following impressions.

He is jovial, people like him, he is especially good with women. He is somewhat of a player. He may enjoy gambling and other risky behaviors. He may have liked cabaret shows. He may have been around places like west end or Norwalk? He is moderately successful, but also a con artist to a degree. He had a hood heart, but looks out for himself. He had trouble when young. Mother and cake? He may have had connection with mechanics, cars planes. Served in world war 2, but not infantry, stayed in England, pilot, 31st squadron?? Married, Jane left him? Moved into country when older, lived quiet life. No children.

  57. 57 Michele Billman October 3, 2009 at 2:43 am

This guy was very innovative and loved creating new technology. Whether it was learning or making up new dance steps or inventing something totally new with transistors. He was a guy who was ahead of his time and a personality to match!
He was high spirited and made sure everyone was enjoying themselves when he was at a social event.

He was a caring person almost to a fault. He married his high school sweetheart after college. He loved all animals but his favorite was dogs, bigger the dog the better he liked them.

His favorite foods was Coney dogs with lots of onions and mustard. Swish it alldone with a beer and he was a happy guy. He was a guy with simple needs and made sure others were provided for before he got what he wanted.

  58. 58 Eleonora October 3, 2009 at 4:09 am

Hellow. I feel he is Your uncle Heidi.

I know it seems far fetched but he gives me the impression of a gambling mobster. I think his name starts with an F and was shot in the head. I just keep hearing this rhyme about Fred being shot in the head, idk. What do you think?

  60. 60 Preeti October 3, 2009 at 4:44 am

Artistic, successful, choosy about with who to mingle, loyal and trustworthy, very sensitive and can get hurt easily, loves nature, great sense of Music, does not believe in conventional religious beliefs, great loving soul

  61. 61 Janna October 3, 2009 at 7:06 am

First, I get a stabbing pain in my right chest. A feeling of a lively and easy-going person, humorous. Smiling a lot. He´s psychic. A father of…is this your father, Heidi?

He might have been working at a library, at least when he was younger. There, he was able to get access to the knowledge he was so eager to get – about spiritualism and psychic powers. History was also close to his heart. He also found his loved one while working there.

He gives me names Keith and Claire. ( He claims that Claire´s surename was Voyant :) )) laughing warmly. LOL ) Year 1956 is somehow signifigant, May 17th 1956.

I see a garden with lots of roses, and the sweet scent of the flowers. He didn´t somehow want to reveal his feminine side too much, but he confesses that he loved flowers, garden and the scent. He visits the garden sometimes, just stopping by to breath in the beauty and energy of the flowers. And that’s what he wants to share with us, too. We should enjoy whatever gives us those little sparks of fulfillment into our lives.

He’s sending lots of love and light to his loved ones, and for the others he wants to say that he has had lots of fun with this experiment and encouraging us to trust ourselves and all the images and clues we get from the other side.

    Thanks :)

  62. 62 Christine October 3, 2009 at 8:04 am

From my observations, I would say that this picture was taken in the 1900’s, my intuition is saying aroung the 1920’s. I keep hearing the words “happy chap” to describe the man. He seems to have been a somewhat confident person. On the day of the picture being taken, I see people around him, a male and a female, and the colours blue and red. He had a piercing gaze and what can only be described as a languid smile. Perhaps his parents had dark hair. He might have lived “til a ripe age”. That’s what I’m hearing.

  63. 63 Sara October 3, 2009 at 10:20 am

Upon looking at the photo like a Tarot card, I notice a theme. There is a great divide, a great split down the middle here. Everything is black and white so to speak. The photo is almost literally split in 2. The left side is full of life, a car, a cigarette all the ivy on the bridge, but..on the other side of the photo there are no cars,,no ivy,,and his hand is in his pocket. Was he a gemini ?lol =) I tried to imagine this photo coming to life and he walked up to the camera lense and winked at me, took a drag on his cigarette and looked up at the sky wistfully. Then I heard an aussie accent,,but it could have been cockney as the two are quite similar! maybe I am just imagining all this,,but its fun!

  64. 64 Sara October 3, 2009 at 10:48 am

As I walked away from the computer the song “would you like to swing on a star?” came into my head, and I found myself singing it. (I dabbled in a bit of tap dancing as well!!)=)

  65. 65 carol October 3, 2009 at 11:00 am

Hello Heidi, I feel this man is your grandfather, he was a lively cheeky chap with a strong personality and was very sociable, liked a pint or two. I think he had three children, two girls and a boy, I’am getting the names Brian Doris Joan and Doreen. He loved boats or walking along where they where moored. He enjoyed a good cuppa and felt there was always time for a brew. He died in his 60’s or the 1960’s from lung cancer.

  66. 66 Jeni October 3, 2009 at 12:24 pm

The name George comes to mind – I thought he lived in Macclesfield but apparantly his surname is of a similar sound/spelling. 2 brothers, wife (Maureen?) and 2 daughters. I think he passed over when he was in his 80’s and this is only within the last 10 years. I feel he worked with his hands – chippie, carpentry. I think his great love was car racing – what we would now call classic cars – he loved speed. This was his passion and he did it well. I can see a car accident (during one of the races – lots of flames) -he was badly injured in this. He spent a lot of time in England but feel he was also based in Europe.

    Dear Heidi,

Whenever I first saw this picture I felt alot of energy from this man…I am sensing acting from him and alot of charisma as well…I sense he was married and had two children,,,a boy and a girl…The girl I sense to be blonde…I am picking up alot of energy concerning the girl from him…I sense him saying “Missy, I love you”…I sense Missy is a nickname he had….I sense you very close to this man, Heidi…I sense him teaching others in his life…he had quite a following and was admired for his ability to make people laugh….I even sense a clown outfit he wore during a children’s birthday party one year…He liked a dead chicken joke the most…a plastic chicken …It appears to be his daughters birthday…she looks to be around 8 or 9…Short blonde hair she has…

  70. 70 Pamela King October 3, 2009 at 3:25 pm

Large, huge, massive Clock face, sleeves rolled up neatly to elbows, shovel/spade in hand. Hay stacks, cobbled road. Spoken words ” a real treasure”. The month of june. One glare from him and you would know you were in trouble or done something wrong.
Writing is important in the family. Three, indicating either the month of march or one in three children/siblings, also the number six. Losing someone early in life, the word ‘hero’.
Stroke/something affecting the mind, too much pride, hated being cared for, but appreciates everything that was done. Felt uncomfortable with things/ circumstances changing. The deep South, stars and stripes, links America or Australia. Piano, talent in the family.
    Initials/ names; ‘T’ terry/theresa, ‘L’ Louise, lou, ‘E’ ellen/elenor/helen.

  73. 73 Jennifer October 3, 2009 at 4:34 pm

The first thing that came was the name Billy W and then he clarified saying, “the third.” It seemed to be a joke. Then there was the name Clara who was an important female in his life who may have died tragically and rather young. The date 1923 came up and then was gone. As for locations, there were several images–one being Brooklane or Brook Lane, there was a school yard with children and nuns in it and a seaside viallage associated with the word Trent and wood…there was a great fondness and even love for this area and the home associated with it.

He seemed to have an incredible sense of humor and then he clarified saying, “Some would say cutting sense of humor.” Examples of humorous jokes shared with others: “Bond, James Bond”–it had to do with a car and something funny that happened. There was a mention and image of grand “tea times without tea,” and it seemed to be related to parties and alcohol. The word “joie de vie” came up in connection with the sense of humor and how he used this to deflect and hide deep pain.

He loved the color cerulean blue and enjoyed writing–his thoughts and short, funny letters–sometimes on napkins.

There was also a mention of an injury to his left foot–maybe a toe.

Cancer-specifically pancreas came up–again using humor and some sarcasm until the end to hide his pain and saying it was all “part of the road and scenery.”

  74. 74 Kate Kernick October 3, 2009 at 5:22 pm

I feel like he was your family Heidi. He enjoyed life, things went well for him. There is such a sense of that, it was the first thing that came to me. He was a lovely man, gentle, thoughtful. I feel a very nice energy looking at him. He probably also enjoyed a good time, fun and lively bloke.

  75. 75 elaine October 3, 2009 at 7:33 pm

a very happy loving man. laughter. water. boats/ships. the navy. children.

  76. 76 cat October 3, 2009 at 7:59 pm

not done anything like this before, but here goes. As soon as i saw this photo, i felt butterflies in my stomach. [solar plexus] i don’t know why, and i felt a great energy around him. He appeared to have carefree moments but could be quite intense also. I think it’s the early 1940’s and is he your relative Heidi?

  77. 77 Jenn October 3, 2009 at 8:29 pm

Has a sense of pride for what he’s accomplished. In his appearance. I’m sensing he struggles with addictive tendencies… The smoking, perhaps drinking and maybe gambling. He’s able to keep it all going. I see him with little girls. I think he’s distant emotionally but loves responsively – more intellectually than physically… I can’t really see much on the romantic level… I think he’s definately fond of one woman in particular – but he’s a bit finicky (sp?). I want to say people like him and are attracted to him… And sometimes it’s too much for him. He feels like it’s too much to live up to… I think he probably turns to his daughters or the small child in his life at these times. I want to say he got music in him as well… Not sure how he expresses it tho. Busy mind. Calmish demeanor on the outside.

  78. 78 Pat October 3, 2009 at 9:49 pm

When I first looked at the picture my reaction was that this person was connected with forestry or wood or something to do with wood. This was at Olympia at your stand on Saturday, I didn’t take the picture home so I haven’t studied it since.
Any other information would be pure guesswork and not intuitive.
    Pat.

  79. 79 Deborah Neel October 3, 2009 at 10:26 pm

When will you get back to us on this? Thanks

  80. 80 Randee October 3, 2009 at 11:12 pm

He reminds me of my grandpa for some reason so for that reason, I’m going to say that the man in the picture may look like a cool dude and like a slick talker type but I think he was a very loving individual that had A LOT of love for his family and especially his children and grandchildren. I feel like he may have been a very generous person who would go way out of his way for others and was one of those people that everyone was proud to know. I also feel like he left a huge impact on one or more people because of how great of a person he was.

  81. 81 Helen October 3, 2009 at 11:15 pm

Will consider further……however here are my very first impressions……..

The name John comes to mind…….a passionate man who loved to dance. An engineer by profession. Two girls feature in his life, though I am unclear whether these were his daughters or the two loves / wives in his life.

The image of a ladder is brought to my mind……leading to a cockpit perhaps………

He liked the heat……….I see him at some point in a hot and sandy place

    Helen

  82. 82 Randee October 3, 2009 at 11:27 pm

I left out something: this man was also very intelligent and with a minimal education, possibly. He was just “naturally” intelligent, if that makes sense… Everything he knew was learned because he had a lifelong hunger for knowledge and in his curious nature he gained a tremendous amount of knowledge that stayed with him his entire life.

  83. 83 Angiana October 4, 2009 at 9:37 am

I’m feeling this man’s photograph was taken maybe in the 30ies. He was a self-confident friendly man, he talked easily to people, but wasn’t very emotional. He had something to do with media. And I’m getting the idea that he had six children (in his later years)…(?!)

  84. 84 Angiana October 4, 2009 at 9:43 am

I forgot something: if I should say a name I’d think it’s Robert. Please apologize my English here and in my earlier post, it’s not my mother tongue and I’m not always sure to have used the right words…

  85. 85 laura19760 October 4, 2009 at 10:32 am

    Hi Heidi

Loved he workshop at the Mind, Body & Soul Exhibition

Strong connection to scripts, either films or writing. Strong Irish connection, very arty. Tragedy in his life, either cut short or illness early in his life. A bit of a gambler, horse racing. A good but mixedup soul

  86. 86 Diane October 4, 2009 at 12:45 pm

My first impression was that he was a crickter but later felt that was influenced by his clothes. He likes a fun time. There are two sides to him – he comes over confident but deep down not so – he has devils/demons to deal with. Maybe he is a Gemini.

What people think about him is important – he would like to be thought of as a generous person.

I think the timing of this photo is in the 60’s/70’s. The background is maybe a film set or a created background.

  87. 87 lesley October 4, 2009 at 1:09 pm

I feel this pic was taken in 1949/1950, but i also get a sense of the 1930’s with him. A lot of stuff has stayed with him from the 30’s.
I feel he has left behind a ‘heaviness’ and is looking forward to an exciting future (ready to make his millions!) I sense some kind of a promotion. He has a strong throat chakra and expresses himself with focus and intention and has quite strong opinions. I sense that he was around Canada at some point. I feel he is English though, but has travelled, probably during the war effort. I hear the words ‘Roger Charlie’ and i’m not sure if they are names or whether it is him responding to someone.I feel a strong female influence around him, i feel it his his mother. He enjoys and admires women. I feel he married and had 2 daughters. Around that, i pick up the name Freda. I get the feeling he is interested in the weather, and possibly studied meteorology. cinema/theatre settings feature and enjoying award winning films of his time.
At some point over his life i feel he was discredited by someone and it was costly to him, but i can’t quite put my finger on it.
A nice chap that had lots of interests and was determined to live life to the full.

  88. 88 Caroline October 4, 2009 at 5:29 pm

I think this man is a great photographer or journalist, in the field of sports. This photo was taken during 40’s. I see a lot of planes, airports.

  89. 89 linda October 4, 2009 at 5:32 pm

i feel his name may be george or there is a george very close to him.he was a clever man very witty had been in the forces air force i think.the name alice also connects to him.he was married not long after this photo was taken

  90. 90 Jacqui Johnson October 4, 2009 at 8:46 pm

    Hi Heidi,

He sure is an interesting man in the 1940’s. His name feels like an H…like Harold or Henry ..maybe Hal. Also, maybe Steve or Stuart. I also get an ..Alan……A’lan…anyway…..to continue….he had a French background.
He is surrounded by many colors…especially pastels….Was a medium or spiritual healer? Actually, that may have been his lifetime before. Also, other lifetimes,he was a great Appachee Indian chief, and also a shaman. I also see he was a commander in the armed forces for 2 years. He loved smoking..it kept him calm. He was a very busy thinker, and loved to read especially Descarte and philosophy; Plato etc. He just gave up alcohol, for he had a heart condition that ran in his family. His choice was releasing alcohol over smoking..he chose to let go of alcohol. He is very fresh and alive in this picture. He had just bought his jacket the day before. It feels like he was getting married soon to a girl who was several years younger than he was. She was his best friend’s sister. They have been together less than a year. He was thinking how he could change his hair..maybe cut it even shorter. He had recently lost his mother in an accident? car accident? I also see there was a fire …she may have been in the house when it burned down. He loves riding horses and grew up on a farm. It feels like somewhere in Virginia. He has 2 spiritual guides who are very active in his life. It feels like he studied to be a priest when he was younger. He had a pet dog; big dog…like German shepherd or golden retriever. His dog’s name was Max. He named him after Maxwell House coffee. He drank several cups of coffee a day. He also was an early riser. Waking up around 4:30am, 5:30am …he would take a walk, read the paper and drink his coffee. That was his morning routine. He was very diligent with his daily routine. He also had a housekeeper for he liked things neat and clean; he was a bit of a perfectionist. It was his friend who took this picture. He was on the way to a job interview that day. That is why he had to buy the jacket the day before, and the newspaper is under his arm.

This has been fun. I look forward to your response.
Divine love and joyous blessings to you and your beloveds,
    Namaste and hugs, Jacqui

  91. 91 Sue October 4, 2009 at 9:07 pm

I am getting 1939 andkthe names Teddy, Henry and Robert. Age 23/24 confident, cheely chappy, educated, well off financially, middle to upper class, athletic and single. The words that I’m feeling are Doctor, Luton, buses, piano, RAF and Navy.

  92. 92 Arizona Sunday October 4, 2009 at 9:47 pm

The name I get is James “B” or “E” like Edward for a middle name?

I also feel a very confident and jovial personality. Very dynamic and very much a people person. Sociable. Possibly a Sadge or Aquarian type personality.

Date I get is 1927 but not sure in what sense. Don’t know if it’s a birthdate or date of photo.

Place of photo is England but I feel connections to Wales or Ireland? Possibly ancestry or other type of connection.

Died at 68 yrs of age.

Feel he has at least 1 brother.

I see him in a leadership role, a quick decision maker with precision accuracy. Very witty and powerful. People value what he says. Maybe a CEO or a founder of a large corporation. Could he have invented something and it became successful or developed a business idea that became successful? I see him at the top of whatever his field is and someone who is very much in charge. When he spoke, people listened and then acted. Very much in authority position.

Even after he married, he was still a freebird and traveled independently for business and/or pleasure.

His mind always creative and inventive throughout life.

I will put that he was shot as form of death but not really sure about that.

My 16 year old son would like to add that he feels his personality is like a “Hugh Hefner” playboy sort or else his name is “Hugh”.

    I’m very curious! :)

    Arizona Sunday~*

  93. 93 Bob October 5, 2009 at 9:46 am

I am getting a dancer who worked in the west end of London but never big time. He grew up in the east end and was always the life and soul of the party. He was a ladies man and had his heyday in the 40’s and 50’s although he never married and died a little lonely around 1975. I also get the name Bert.

  94. 94 Sue October 5, 2009 at 10:29 am

    Hi,

First thing that came to mind was Tamworth. Kind loved to be loved friend Jack the Lad sort of person. While looking at his facing I had, and still have tingling sensation down the right hand side of my face. Lived life to the full.

    Sue

  95. 95 Diane Blundell October 5, 2009 at 10:33 am

I feel he likes to socialise (quite chatty) and is not averse to a spot of gambling on the horses. I feel a connection to cricket (playing or watching). He was close to a sister or female member of the family. Quite a lady’s man in his youth before settling down (a loveable rouge – nicest possible sense). For some reason the Oxford/Cambridge boat race keeps jumping into my mind (? possible links). I also feel a link to some sort of engineering ability (possibly with work) manual dexterity would have been needed for his job.

  96. 96 Belinda October 5, 2009 at 1:25 pm

What I’m getting from this person is that he is of Irish descent, lived in London and faught in the Second World War in which he had seen a lot of suffering. He thus tried taking a lighter view of the rest of his life by way of compensation and would do anything possible to avoid what he would interpret as heavy situations or too much commitment. Liked a drink (a little too much on occasion) but never an alcoholic. Very mischievious personality.

  97. 97 Jan October 5, 2009 at 4:18 pm

    Hi

I feel that this man has a connection with engineering. I feel a link with ships / boats and also with cars (maybe later).

    Was he in the Navy?

He seems to be on holiday in the picture or out of his usual routine for some (happy) reason.

Did he have an accident but he was not killed in the accident?

I think he was happy-go-lucky as a younger man and he liked to go to dances.

As an older man I feel he liked children and to be surrounded by his family. Always a joker and a hit with the grandchildren.

    He must be sadly missed.

  98. 98 caroline October 5, 2009 at 5:05 pm

hi,the first thing that comes to mind with this man is actor some sort of stage actor. the name arther and cecil comes to mind, this man was very hard working loved life to the full and was always the heart and soul of a party, always liked to joke around, but when he had to be serious he would be.I get the feeling that this man was a leader of some sort and what he said happened, happened,i can also see this man sat at a bar with a short in his hand.I dont get the feeling that this man ever married but may of had a couple of serious relationships and dont feel he had any children but did like them. i feel this man passed at an early age between 40-45 i feel that he passed of cancer. the year 1920/s comes to mind and had links around the london area.

  100. 100 darren October 5, 2009 at 7:53 pm

i would like to add to this and say the picture was middle fifties, but still get strong feeling of 1920/s for some reason.

    All the best darren.

    Hi

The era looks around the 1930’s – 1940’s. This chap is very care free and lives for the moment, possible seen as being a little unreliable but has passion for life. He has a great wit and is liked by both sexes – has many flings with women! He likes poetry, literature and the gentler sports like cricket and tennis. He is a good dancer, charming and doesn’t like to be tied down emotionally. Possible has a dark side to him which he doesn’t reveal to anyone.

Look forward to hearing the more about him!

    Hi Heidi.

For what it’s worth, this is what I picked up. John Waters, 1901 to 1998. Married to Betty with three daughters, one of whom is Laurence’s Mum (?). He lived in Birmingham and worked as a mechanic. He loved fishing, stout, a good joke and his pipe. He survived Passchendale where he worked with horses. Passed over from a heart attack. Thinks the country is completely upheaped. Such a lovely, lovely man.

    Regards,
    Máire

  103. 103 Anna Logan Riversby October 6, 2009 at 1:31 am

ok this gentle chap was into sports, i think is called basketball?
He was conected with woman who is wearing white puffy 50es dress. I feel them together for long time. It seems she went first and then he short after.
They had children and 1 grand child.
He drove black car, and smoked a bit. Worked or went into old fashioned georgian building-his job was with papers…newspapers conected.
His wife-this woman he was into was bit of a anxious type. Weak nerver-perhaps bipolar.
He was light spirited and good natured. Easy going person. I imagine people could relax around him.
He was sad when he died -bhis heart chakra is bit sad in the picture. Most of his easy going light persona emanates trough his solar plexux.

This is all i saw but i havent had time to ground myself properly. If i did i guess i would get ‘real’ information. this is just as a cup of tea. No lunch! :-)

    All The best!

  104. 104 Anna Logan Riversby October 6, 2009 at 1:45 am

oh, just got a more info about his sad heart chakra…as was intrugying me why so sad-same when he passed over as in picture…he lost the woman he loved deeply…it seems she died just after a 1 year of them being together…such a sad story…but good news is this:

He never stopped loving her and she -her spirit- was always with him. Thays why i felt them always together! I feel he learned his spiritual lesson: to stay and bond wit his spiritual soul mate. Now they are ready for the next lesson-this spiritu united will be back as another very talented human!

Ok off to make tea! :-) Anna xxx

  107. 107 Sally October 6, 2009 at 2:29 pm

I feel the picture was taken around 1933/34, seems to be a friendly and outgoing person, a family man who had strong bond with his kids when he was around, sensed a little girl running into his arms making him beam form ear to ear
Feel though he could be somewhat stubborn at times and a bit of a loner when he felt like it, like he would retreat into himself to ponder things – a deep thinker, feel he had a thirst for knowledge and I somehow see him pointing at a board though i dont feel a teacher in a school sense more that he was knowledgable in what he did and this he passed on to others in a professional sense. Lecturing in his chosen field
Feel he stood up for what he believed in
Also sense a few spirit around him, perhaps he was aware of this too
I feel me was more rounded in later life and enjoyed being outdoors, more ruddy cheeked and feel that his garden was a joy to him in particular rose bushes,

will hit send before i doubt this and start again siiigh

  108. 108 lesley October 6, 2009 at 4:09 pm

Oh my gosh.. i saw this gentleman point with a small stick to a black board as well! I also saw a georgian house/building that i forgot to mention in my previous post.

  109. 109 clair October 6, 2009 at 6:59 pm

    hi

The feeling i get with this gentleman is that he has a lively bubbly exterior but inside he is serious with an insecure side to him. Family is everything to him and i see him with children – 2-3. i feel that he wanted to give his children things that he never had when he was growing up. I feel that he was restless with regards to a career – not sure where he fitted in and would try a bit of everything but drift from one thing to another. I feel a sadness around him – things he didnt get over in his life – loss of a loved one. Drink was an issue. He was the kind of man that made an impact on people. People wanted to be his friend but he had few that he would have opened up to. 1940s. i feel he had a spiritual side to him which he didnt explore.

  110. 110 Lenny October 6, 2009 at 7:35 pm

Philly, U.S.A., 1955, Jack Kerouac type with no desire to write yet everything he says is quotable. He’s mischievous in a playful way and a philanderer with a romantic side who uses his luck and charm to get by and get into adventures with people. He enjoys scotch and horse racing. He will die in an unfortunate accident when he is around forty years old.

  111. 111 sarwest07 October 6, 2009 at 9:30 pm

My very first impression when I saw the photo was about the war…was he in the service? He would just as soon move on from that phase. I feel like he was on top of the world on that particular day. He moved with an easy grace and must have been a good dancer. I sense that he was fairly outgoing and could be “the life of the party” when he wanted to be, but that he also had a more grounded, serious side. That he was very connected to his family and was “a good son”.I don’t feel like he was married at that particular time, but that he did marry a short time later. I feel like he was youngish when he passed away.

  112. 112 Laraine October 7, 2009 at 1:49 am

I feel this man has a link to Brighton. I feel like he is a relative of Heidi or her husband.

The place where this picture was taken was where he used to do his courting of his future wife (feel like he used to wait for her on a corner leaning against the wall smoking his cigarette).

He seems like a very intelligent and well read man. I feel he works in an office job as a writer – I want to say sports journalist.

He is a snappy dresser, sociable and likes himself and takes pride in his appearance. He is fun to be around – men and women are drawn to him and he has a great sense of humour and is very witty. He also has a more sensitive and deep side to him which he reveals to few people. I feel he may have been quite religious and attend Church regularly.

He is a straight talker and people find him interesting, if not slightly unusual. He is quite quirky and totally himself.

I feel he married and had 2 children – boy and girl. I sense he lost a child too which he found very difficult. He loved his wife though could seem distant. He loved his mother very, very much and they were close until her death. I feel his wife had to compete with his mother. I feel he used to go to his mum’s for Sunday roast each week and she spoilt him. I don’t feel he had a good relationship with his father and this mirrored in his own relationship with his son. When his kids were little he was a great father and there was lots of fun in the household. He found them more difficult as they grew up.

I get the name for him with a royal connection – Bertie or Charlie or George. I get a name Annie or Amy for his wife or someone close to him. Plus I get Pauline as being important.

He enjoyed what he would call a medicinal whiskey. Also, i feel he was a gambling man (horses). He loved a bet and he understood the form – he never backed a nag and he was always in the money with the gambling. He took pride in that.

The year 1926 comes up – when he was born?? Also I got 59 – not sure if 1959 was important or if he was 59 when he passed. I feel he passed from something in the chest and was coughing.

He lived a very full and active life and brought positive energy to any situation. He did need time alone too.

I feel he had a hidden talent. I sense he could paint really well – like watercolours and portraits.

  113. 113 Laraine October 7, 2009 at 2:26 am

He used to whistle all the time!!!!!

  114. 114 Eve October 7, 2009 at 12:14 pm

    Hi,

When I looked at the photo of this gentleman I felt that this the year could have been around 1947. I felt like this man always came across as confident and happy but I do feel he has worries and sadness in his heart.
I feel he would have had some connection with a nurse, maybe in a relationship or courting a nurse.
I feel that in his life he had 2 children, maybe 3.
I also vision a black dog which would often be by his side and I see him doing some sort of dancing, something like tap dancing to entertain family and friends.
I do feel that he may have flown planes for a small amount of time but I feel that maybe there was an accident which deterred him away from this.
I do also get the name Don.

I’m probably way off but hey lets see…. :-)

  115. 115 Mark Haynes October 7, 2009 at 12:59 pm

I get the sense that this man is called David or Dave. He’s a happy go lucky kind of man and the year 1946 or 1956 feels strong. He likes to give the impression that he is well connected, sociable and a bit of a wheeler dealer although he’s actually just a normal down to earth person who wants more from his life. He is very much about being friendly and dressing the part. The newspaper, upturned collar, cigarette etc are all part of his image and he loves the attention he gets from it.
I like this man. Passed over from an illness caused by indulgence, drink related illness comes thorugh but also an element of smoking related complications.
I also got a phontograph in my minf od this man with a woman of similar height, he was on the left and her on the right, she was wearing a tweed type suit with an od top part, like a poncho (if that makes any sense). They were related as father and daughter. The picture isnt the same era as this one, was later.

  116. 116 fiona October 7, 2009 at 4:31 pm

Taken late 1940’s. A carefree confident flirty vivacious energetic intelligent man, who enjoyed life, socialising, cocktail parties, dancing, car-motor bike racing, music (jazz and songs like “I am singing in the rain”), coffee, hard liquor spirits like vodka/brandy (but not an alcoholic even though he could drink a lot), sense of dress-image was important to him, enjoyed his single life winning the hearts of many women but eventually married, also enjoyed his own quiet time, reading the paper (looked at race results/dipped in some gambling). Enjoyed adventure and taking a risk. I sense he died young, before he was 55-60 and unexpectantly (perhaps heart or car / motorbike accident); loved the sunshine and places like France (liked to travel); a bit of a perfectionist at times.

  117. 117 Lisa October 7, 2009 at 8:00 pm

As i first look at the picture, instantly the name Robert comes to mind. I also see him with a small dog, and see him driving behind the wheel of a car. I see the RAF wings and also feel him high above ground, looking down, I dont feel that he was a pilot, but feel he was definitely at home aboard planes. I get a funny feeling in the right side of my head, like being deaf in one ear? I also feel a rapid descent, falling quickly towards earth. I do not feel as though this is how his life ended. Again, I feel that he is above the ground looking down, and I can see fields from way up high. The sun is shining. I also get the names Frank, and James, and the name Nancy Elwood? I felt compelled to experimented with a bit of automatic writing, and the result looks like it says the word Lady.

  118. 118 tara clark October 7, 2009 at 8:41 pm

I feel that this man was born late 40’s early 50’s.
Very well presented man, looked after himself with pride. A very inteligent man and a hard worker.
Enjoyed life although wasn’t always easy. Possibly a ladies man but not in a bad way. A very much loved man. I am getting a family man although not a great deal may be brothers and sisters around him. I am feeling that he was married and not sure if he lost his wife first but as I am writing this I feel that I may be contradicting myself a little, I feel that there was quite a bit of heart ache in his life and although I say he enjoyed life, he didn’t complain about his problems, he got on with them.
I feel that at the end of his time he had breathing difficulties, I see oxygen. Possibly suffered a heart attack at the end.

  119. 119 tara clark October 7, 2009 at 8:52 pm

I was looking too much at picture I think the picture was taken late 4o’s early 50’s and would say he was around mid 20’s in it.

I am only just learning my ability so here goes,I hope I at least get one it’s not much but I first got 1920 then 1940s so either he was born in the 20s and this photo was taken in the 40s not sure, I got the name Tom and I pictured him all in white playing tennis,I got cancer then lungs, and father keeps coming into my head either father or grandfather.

I am eager to find out the results.

Holy heck he kind looks like the guy on the right end of the construction beam in the 1932 photo above Manhatten. The construction crew on lunch break!

  122. 122 Dianne October 8, 2009 at 3:53 am

A sense of arrogance, almost cocky and spontaneous and carefree. I’m getting booking agent or maybe he bet alot on horses, maybe gamgling. Smoked cigarettes and drank a clear liquid liquour…..maybe vodka?? He was the life of the party. He was a fun father because he was very much a kid at heart. It was this child like quality that attracted his wife to him in the first place, but she was also somewhat resentful because it was this same quality that sometimes drove her crazy. If he had money in his pocket, it was burning a hole. loved by his wife. His wife slender with brown hair and quite attractive with ruby red lips. I see her standing with two very young children, one of which is a toe head (very blonde), which I am most certain was a little boy. Little girl with brown shoulder length hair with black paten leather shoes and white frilly socks. Men enjoyed his company and their wives secretively had slight crushes on him. He definitely was a mamma’s boy. Mom was a christian and tried to ignore some of his wild ways. She spent many of a night worried sick about him. I’m not sure what the letter M represents, but I got that as well almost immediately.

  123. 123 Jennifer October 8, 2009 at 5:53 am

Just wanted to add a few more pesky details that keep coming back…

“Bloody toe was a life-saver.” Relating to something about the war and not seeing front-line combat. Sense of gratitude mixed with chagrin and deep sadness for a good bunch of blokes/”friends” who died instead of me. Feels need to visit a large cemetary but feels it is morbid because “they’re just stones–not their heart or life.”

Do not see him in marriage or with kids–too busy galloping around…wanted to leave that lifestyle behind. He did love someone romantically…however, their relationship was taboo. They spent much time together and were very close–went for many drives, loved fashion/being fashionable, parties, sitting in front of a fireplace talking. I get the sense that the man in the picture outlived his love.

Charlee D. and Rudy were important. He mentioned how he “loved going to the Gardens.”

I also get the sense that his dad died younger and seemed to be disapproving/disappointed in him. Loved him but had difficulty relating to him and his “burly” demands.

Loved “a good piece of cod and partial to mutton stew.”

  124. 124 debbie October 8, 2009 at 10:47 am

I didn’t get that much but will just go with what I got: I got a name Henry or similar. I felt that around the time the picture was taken he was ‘leaving something behind’ though I’m not sure what. I sensed some issue to do with his father, some disapproval/approval dynamic gone on, that he was maybe rebellious against his father’s wishes but at the same time wanted his approval whilst fighting against him. A mother who struggled with loyalties towards her husband and son, accepting her son for who he was but feeling like she should support his father’s views.
I got that he had a bit of an edge to him, was opinionated and expressed his views which could be contentious in the contexts he moved in – he pushed the boundaries and did/said things that caused waves, and had a lot of strength in doing this but a feeling of self-doubt at the same time, wanted acceptance for his different views deep down even though he didn’t show this openly. I got an image of a huge spanner and I don’t know if this was literal, maybe he worked as some kind of mechanic, or if it was symbolic, something about throwing a spanner in the works? I got that he had an engaging, sort of magnetic personality and people were drawn to him though a bit wary of him at the same time.
I got a little girl around him, a daughter, maybe two.
I also got a family history of hereditary disease/illness that I think he himself may have died from.
thanks for the practice Heidi! xxx

  125. 125 wendy October 8, 2009 at 11:26 am

    Hi Heidi,
I feel this man is your grandad? He looks very confident, a snappy dresser, loves the ladies!!! Looks good fun, has a good job, office work, possibly the boss in his office and surrounded by giggling girls. Feel that he lived in a small seaside town, loved the finer things in life. Smoked heavily but that was cool then.
    Look forward to feedback.

    Wendy.

  126. 126 Jess October 8, 2009 at 2:58 pm

I keep thinking Trent, but that’s not his name, maybe where he lived/grew up. I think his name is Will or Billy, and he’s from a wealthy family, but he set his own set of rules, which his father didn’t aprove of…I’m sensing a rift in the relationship with his father, and dad died before it was resolved. Very doting with his mother…comes to her afternoon teas with her lady friends, but slips some brandy or scotch into his cup. I sense a lot of relief from his mother because he wasn’t taken to the war like all her friends sons…he had some kinnd of health issue that kept him out….this picture was taken in the late 40’s after the war and he was a successful business man, and didn’t really have to try to make money, it just kind of came to him…I think that he had a true love…but they didn’t marry I feel as though maybe she married someone else that was more “stable/reliable”…

  127. 127 Liz October 8, 2009 at 4:22 pm

This the first time I have done anything like this and I am doing it very quickly at work so these are only my first feelings but had to capture them!
I feel a real sense of compression of the chest, breathlessness and struggling to get out of something (sounds strange but diving / flying would give me that feeling) Was he involved in some kind of accident, end of life during life?
Also feel like crying, huge sense of sadness.
Also feel he is somehow related to you
Got the sense of adventure and travel
Not musch compared with some and will see if I can get back and spend more time on this

  128. 128 jb October 8, 2009 at 4:26 pm

He was a singer, had a wife and 2 children.
He had 1 brother and 2 sisters. He was lonely, lived in England, died younger than he expected. He came from a wealthy background.

  129. 129 Janice October 8, 2009 at 5:21 pm

First thing comes to mind is music. Some sort of swing music. He seems like a fun loving, carefree man, with a sway in his walk, and a sort of ladies man. Confident, the kind of guy with a few dollars in his pocket and a million dollar smile. He may be a bit careless with his responsibilities, but not really a bad sort of chap. The name Bobby comes to mind.

Thanks for leaving a cool experiment. I am curious to find out how accurate I am.

  130. 130 Danielle October 8, 2009 at 5:24 pm

    Hi,

I got the name Philip, and felt like he was very interested in cars and may have driven them or used them in some way for work. I also sensed an aeroplane and his death caused by crashing into water. I felt he was deaf, or certainly had problems in one ear (his left)…he absolutely loved dancing, all I can hear is dance dance dance!….I felt he had two children, one boy and one girl and was extremely fond of his daughter.

He also had intuition, he was empathic and had a great sense of huour and a kind heart. I heard the names Margaret, Jean and Peter too.

  131. 131 Paul O'Sullivan October 8, 2009 at 5:27 pm

I hope I’m wrong but below is what I sense.

I sense he may have had a drink/drugs problem – possibly was an alcoholic
This may have resulted in a tortured soul with traits I sense like:
He tried to be honest but didn’t always succeed
    His intentions were always good
He was nervous around new people
He suffered from bouts of depression/anxiety
    He may have attempted suicide
Outwardly confident but not so confident inside
He had above normal anxiety/fears about various things
    Racing head
    I also sense
    He had two kids
His wife didn’t really know him at all
He may have had a boat or was into rowing or something
    Liked to watch boxing
Fear keeps coming to mind….a huge sense of fear that he had…but of what I am not sure…life perhaps
May have had a short affair and was very guilty about it
    Was basically a good soul

  132. 132 Ellis Wood October 8, 2009 at 5:38 pm

As I concentrate on this man I get the name Terry or Trevor and also and rather strangely, the name Brian. Perhaps brothers or relations of some kind. I also get images of what I know as the fair or carnival, bumper cars and waltzers and the like. There is a strong seaside link with this man. I also get a strong American link somewhere along the line so either a trip to America played a strong part in this mans life or an americana dream. I also get link to American air force personnel. Unfortunately there is a ‘water on the lungs’ kind of feeling around him and a cancer condition so lung cancer is a possibility. I am trying to write the images as they come but they come fast so please forgive me. I see this man enjoying his garden because I am getting images of my own grandfather in his garden and this suggest this link with this man.

  133. 133 Frances October 8, 2009 at 5:46 pm

Hi, I’m not very sure but he seems to be the guy that loves to have fun confident and loved to help others. I think he could have some kind of burden of some sort, but never let that get him down.

  134. 134 Susan October 8, 2009 at 8:01 pm

    Hi,

I get a lovely feeling from this picture. I can see that he looks smartly dressed, relaxed and young. He’s American. He has a good sense of humour, but has a side to him whereby he enjoys playing tricks on people in a kind way. He’s not married, but if he is he is a newly wed.He has lots of friends who care about him. He is very kind, generous, loving, good natured and enjoys music and going dancing. He has a car. He comes from a little suburb in a major American city, and all the local children love him.

    Susan.

  135. 135 Dany October 8, 2009 at 9:24 pm

I feel he was a happy go lucky sort on the surface and knew how to please the ladies, and was particularly kind and gentle with old ladies and children. I sense giggling around him. Underneath the happy chappy there was also a sadness. He struggled to share difficult feelings and would tend to gloss over things, ‘fronting it’ with others, so only few people knew of his difficulties. I think he had trouble owning this even within himself, and would lock himself away from the world, and perhaps drink too much, to cope at times.

  136. 136 Elaine October 8, 2009 at 9:28 pm

I didn’t really get a lot from this photo. The period is obviously 40’s or 50’s.

I got a sense that he was a ‘happy chappy’, liked his ‘ciggies’ and the word Variety just came into my head and I felt it was in a theatrical sense.

but this is what i got of just “words” popping into my head i got the year 1922 and i also got the month august. i got the name john as well as the name terry or perry, i believe he had alot of children and i got 4 boys (so i dont know if he was spose to be one of 4 boys or had four boys) i believe he was mild tempered but stern when he had to be but looking at him i just wanna laugh so i believe he made people laugh though i got a horrible feeling of alot of crying as though his death had been unexpected or a surprise though i thought he was a grandfather before he died. i got the word shallow or hallow but im not sure if it should be last name or town or what just the word shallow and i also randomly got the word many (maybe many people died same time im thinking now but that was not in my thought at that time) and i recieved the name mary as well (very common name right?) i think people thought of him as a bit of a comedian and i got the word mechanic in work related but not necessarily a car mechanic but could have been in a job related to how the mechanics of something works. this man was very friendly and could be depended upon

    youngest in family
    cocky and self-assured
open collar and white shoes suggest to me he is a risk taker and a smooth talker
looks like he has heard good news, but his stride suggest he was expecting good news..maybe winning money
looks single, fancies himself to be a ladies man
    photo taken in the 40’s
used to getting what he wants, perhaps a bit spoiled by his family, particularly his mother..because he is the baby.
The name Sean comes to mind..probably because he resembles Sean Penn.

A bit of a lad in his early days, happy outgoing personality but with a cheeky sense of humour. Practical joker but there is a sense of loss with him, as if he lost the love of his life quiet early on, I’m getting the name margret. He was a spiritual man and often felt his wife close. He had periods of quiet and sadness, mostly due to the loss.

I feel he had many jobs and not a life long career and that he’d turn his hand to most things and give it a go. His outward personality would often not reflect his inner thoughts and feelings. A good man at heart with a good sense of justice who usually did the right thing. Died in his 70’s with what I feel was problems in his lower torso, prostate or testiculat cancer. I feel he spent periods of his life living in the city as I can feel the hussle and bussle but also by the sea, Get a feeling of journalism, typewritters, newspapers and the names of MArk, Marcus and Gerald spring to mind.

This person was full of energy, always looking forward to the better things he can do in life, no matter in whatever bad condition he was at the moment.

He has faced many challenges in life…. but the challenges have never bogged him down.

he has given hope to many people while he was alive… but kept all his negatives such as – failures, disappointments etc to himself.

Hi,since leaving my comments the other day i experienced something that i think could be related to this experiment,i thought at first it was related to a friend but am now thinkin it may have a conection to this photo.
I saw a young child, boy aged 2-4max i only saw the bottom half of him,he had linen trousers on cream in colour and he was facing away from me reaching up for something.I didnt see the top half of him but i feel he was a blonde child and very happy.

This happened in the 40s. This man looks self-confident, different, rebel, strong. He’s a social guy, open but also a fighter. He’s elegant (self-conscious of his appearance and the current fashion). He’s a natural leader, even charismatic + sense of humour.

  143. 143 Elena October 9, 2009 at 11:11 am

The only thing I get is a train. The sound of a train, the whistle.

  144. 144 May Lewin October 9, 2009 at 11:15 am

Looking at the picture. I sensed that he was a ladies man. He loved women He would wolf whistle & slip their bum. I pick up a job that envolves heights. Maybe a painter/window cleaner or fireman. The colour red seems to come flooding in. I feel that he had lots of energy. Did he at one point had a small dog. He smoked a lot & maybe it caused his death. I can also picture him on a boat with a case. Although he was a jokey man he did have a serious side to his personality. Liked to go fishing occasionally. Liked to find things that other people don’t want which he made used of. Brass ornaments was on his walls & a black & white framed picture of a lady maybe his one true love.. A white rose has a significance. Towards the end of his life he turned to religion. It could be your father. Had 9 kids. I am not getting a year at the moment. The number 76 keeps coming in my head & Oct/Nov. Maybe he died at 76 in Oct/Nov.
He enjoyed his food & ate a lot. Liked ale.

  145. 145 Linda Briscoe October 9, 2009 at 3:30 pm

On looking at this picture I get the sense of Uncle and feel this picture was taken around the late 40s early 50s
I also feel he was jack the lad in his day and had a lot of lady friends but i feel he was passionate for 1 particular lady I get the feel of 2 children around him not sure if he was 1 of 2 or he had 2? I also hear the name Jack! and Ivan!
I get a sense that he would enjoy a boogie on the dance floor and was very good at it had everyone watching him but i feel he could of had 2 ladies dancing with him like the Jive? one in each hand!
I feel he served his time in the army and for some reason I am shown a newspaper article with his picture and others around him? In uniform
I also feel maybe he had problems with his chest in later life.
And i hear the words Assbestos?
Hope im not too far wrong :(

    Love & Light Linda x x

  146. 146 Paul Kennedy October 9, 2009 at 4:22 pm

I think he was probably an actor of sorts. I see him kneeling with blood on his hands.

Names that come to mind: Robert Blake, Denise, Dorothy, or Debra

“It isn’t true; what they said”

I believe he was found not guilty at the trial and it was tossed out. But if that’s the case then why is he still kneeling in blood; if he’s not guilty?

    He keeps repeating these words

    - > “It isn’t true; what they said”

    Almost a Whisper: It isn’t true…

  147. 147 Cecilia Barrie October 9, 2009 at 7:38 pm

The man was born in English. Sporty type. Very sociable/well liked.
Enjoyed men’s company to shares stories but the ladies really liked him as he was such good fun. A risk taker/devil-me-care attitude. Possibly in the RAF. Wouldn’t be surprised if he was an officer. Very neat person but wearing dark socks so a bit of a rebel. Good leader. Think he was possibly a great physchic.
    Very intelligent.
Behind the smiles was a very deep thinker, loved animals. Married and had two children.

  148. 148 lizzi October 9, 2009 at 8:53 pm

This man had lots of swagger and confidence. He loved Fred Astaire music & jazz. He was a bit of a “ladies” man. He fought in the war and was an RAF pilot. He loved to play golf. He also loved to play cards with his friends and liked to gamble now and again.

    Portsmouth comes to mind.

He may have passed away from lung cancer.

He lived his life to the full and had no regrets.

  149. 149 beverley bridge October 10, 2009 at 3:57 pm

im not really sure what i am doing as i have never blogged before.the thoughts of this mans photo that i am getting are that he had a real zest for life and enjoyed sport particually golf. i feel his parents owned a tobacconist shop or some sort of retail business.iget the places Cleveden ? and doncaster.four children and the names frank and shirley .also butlins and the colour yellow are in my mind.my son says this chap had an interest in dinosaurs.i look forward to the outcome of this experiment. best wishes Bev x

  150. 150 Margaret October 10, 2009 at 5:40 pm

The car looks like the time could be late 30s early 40s, also the style of clothing. I feel this could have been before the start of the war. My thoughts are that he enjoyed cricket and I had a feeling about boat races,as in Oxford and Cambridge. He had I feel been to one of these universities. I’ll go for Oxford.

In the war, the word brylcreme boys is strong, which is linked to the R.A.F. Where he became an officer. He later married and had 3 children. He later went into business and was successful.

His sense of humour, gained him many friends, but in business and in life he was no easy pushover. Boxing has just come in, so he could fight his corner and support those that needed it. A champion of the underdog.

He had the charm to be a Ladies man and made the most of it when single. I feel he was married twice over the years, and loved both, despite the fact they were different.

I feel that he had heart problems in later years and that this could have been the cause of death, or sudden stroke as his circulation was in a poor state.

I feel that this man is linked to your husband, Grandfather as feel the man would be too old to be his father. The name John is strong and Emily and Pauline for people being close. His presence was missed, but I feel he watches over you as a family.

Hope at least something is right.

  151. 151 Jan October 11, 2009 at 12:15 am

There may be a trick of modeling here. His face and his body and clothing are from two separate people. These aren’t his clothes: the pants are too tight around the waist (I’m not even sure those are men’s pants). The whole ensemble looks like something Katherine Hepburn would wear. There is a conflict between the person I see in the face and the “costuming” for the photo. The playful energy of the clothing ensemble covers the intensity of his body control. The upturned thumb on the hand with the cigarette is tense, and the walk is a staged step. The jacket is very tight in the arms, and could never be buttoned. The hair looks like it may be thick dark red hair. He is dressed for a social event but is walking down a common street. This conflicted image is not representative of the actual person.

So, why would he have a photo taken that is so unrevealing of his true self? Does this photo reveal his sexuality? I kept on thinking of Danny Kaye.

He is playing an extrovert for the camera. He wants to show this image of himself in the photo. He has a short term relationship with the world that surrounds him in this photo. Also, he has control over his body, as if he is a dancer. The name/word Schlesinger comes to mind, which may be a name or a word clue for singer.

  152. 152 Sian October 11, 2009 at 5:49 pm

    Hi,

I am getting 1940s. A man who is lively, but with a laid back attitude to conforming or doing what is expected. Not at all conservative, a bit of a rebelious character, but laid back with it too.
He would always give his opinion in the form of advice: “You need to do this . . .”
A strong character – petty things don’t bother him and he would brush them aside.
“Rogue”, “rebel” and “fun” are words that come to me.

  153. 153 kim October 11, 2009 at 7:46 pm

    Hi Heidi.

I’ve been carrying this photo around for a few days. Immediately I could see this picture was taken at the Sea front in Clacton in the 40’s- post war I believe. He seems a cheeky chap, very like able and I feel he is in the entertainment business. I’m getting dancer/singer/instrument player- Saxaphone or Trumpet. And I think it’s a Trumpet. I keep getting the image of one of my fav films- ‘White Christmas’ which I think is leading me to believe the entertainment business feeling. Which also goes with the feeling maybe of a Military past- as I see uniform. I did read some of the posts as I wasn’t trusting my feelings- I’m still struggling with my logical side. However, when I saw that Jan( above my post) mentioned Danny Kaye( White Christmas) I felt I had to post my feelings.

Look forward to knowing this lovely Gent’s history.
    Love Kim

  154. 154 Julie October 12, 2009 at 9:10 am

I sense 1954 and a connection with Kent or Essex but I also sense an italian connection. I pick up that he travels a lot so this may be his connection with Italy.
I see him with a girl a few years younger than him in a pretty floral dress with shoulder length dark wavy hair. The names John Lloyd and Eve/Eva seem relevant.
He comes across as confident, a bit of a Jack the Lad, the life and soul of the party. He enjoys a good social life attending lots of parties and drinking in cafes with lots of friends. He is a bit of a flirt but is quite romantic and underneath very soft hearted. I see him buying a gift of a teddy bear for his girlfriend.
He is very close to his mother and keeps an eye on her and looks after her.
I see him smoking a pipe but later in life not at the time of the photo.
I think he may have ran his own business in real estate or something like that. I see him with lots of papers and talking with lots of people.
His family were quite well to do and so he did not have a difficult childhood in terms of finances but later in life finances featured strongly with him due to all his business deals.

  155. 155 Jill Foreman October 12, 2009 at 1:15 pm

I sense that this man was around in the middle 1940’s to 1950s and that music played a large part in his life, I see a double bass and a Hotel setting. I get the Name George although he often used the name Frank, he had a sadness about unfulfiled dreams. He had the talent but was never recognised, I see depression in later life and lonliness also a family of two children with whom he lost touch. He was a very intelligent man who never pushed himself to reach his full potential and missed opportunities. At times a ladies man which I feel broke up his marraige a marriage he regretted loosing and started his downward spiral, the world could have been his oyster, comes into my mind. I feel that he passed in the 1970’s a shadow of his former self in attitude and appearence, he looked older than he was, I sense despare towards the end although he did not pass by his own hand. I sense there was a concern over health issues but he did nothing about them fearing the answer. Sadly I feel he passed alone and was found in his bedroom and that it later transpired that his health fears had substance to them.
    Jill Foreman

  156. 156 Bob October 12, 2009 at 5:07 pm

On a purely logical level, in the bottom right hand corner there appears to be the shadow of a man holding a clip-board or newspaper. This person would be to the photographer’s right and would seem to indicate a staged event rather than a casual snap. Maybe it’s a publicity photograph related to my earlier feelings about him being a dancer.

  157. 157 Gail October 12, 2009 at 5:25 pm

I feel that this photograph was taken in the 1940’s. The man appears self-assured and confident (walking in the middle of the road); affable and spirited. I feel that there is a naval connection with him. I feel a he may have been a Londoner by birth. I think he was probably an Aries, as he seems to have that fire energy around him. He has a “widow’s peak” so he was probably quite perceptive about people.

A snappy dresser with a good sense of rhythn, I feel he was flirtations maybe, but probably fell for a blonde girl at first sight.

  158. 158 Chris October 12, 2009 at 5:36 pm

    The year 1952 is significant.
Quite a character – loved both men and women.
    Flambouyant in nature.
    Died in his 50s.
Strong connection with his mother – did he live with her for much of her life?
Strong connection to a disabled child – sibling?
Had quite a temper and could fly off the handle very easily.

  159. 159 Katherine October 13, 2009 at 11:53 am

I think he was a very lively and energetic character came across as being very optimistic but could be a very deep thinker, always on the move.

Very fond of swing music,(Sammy Davies Jnr???), maybe played an instrument of some kind. He Loved to dance and to sing, very sociable can see him in a bar maybe partial to the odd whiskey.

Some kind of link to America.

He was meticulous with his grooming particularly his hair and the way he styled it.

I think he would have had a manual job, working with his hands, something mechanical???? Or something with a large brush??

Names I get are Jo, Joseph or John and Barberra, Betty or Bridget.

    Links to Bristol or Brighton.

Rather random but something about Cats not sure whether that would be the animal or maybe a word that he used.

    Numbers 86,68 and 63.

  160. 160 Roopa Venkateswaran October 13, 2009 at 4:29 pm

    Hi Heidi,

Thanks very much for sending me your book. With regards to the attached photo, the impression I got is as follows – He is street-smart / world-wise man, who is charming when spoken to. His behaviour can appear very flirty. However he seems to be an escapist, unaware of what is it that he is wanting to escape. He could come forth as a very superficial person with no interest in deeper matters of life, someone who never takes life seriously. He possibly has had an unloved childhood which made him feel abandoned & hurt. His personality could be an offshoot of this hurt that makes him put up this front that everybody can love. Deep down he mostly feels lonely & empty, even though he appears to be the sort of chap who takes life easy / happy-go-lucky. He possibly likes to gamble too.

  161. 161 Danni October 14, 2009 at 2:18 am

I feel like he is a close relative.
He’s confident has a good sense of humor that is sometimes sarcastic. there are two girls associated with him that I feel are younger than he is in the picture.
I also see a woman in a dark blue dress, belted waist, flair bottom, gloves, hair curled under. she is very pretty and put together. They are different from each other. I see him both fun and uptight at the same time. Did alot of fighting.
I feel like he was happy but also conflicted between what he wanted to do in life and to the responsibilities he had. he’d come with just one flower. big fan of movies
think he may have been in a war or traveled through the military

  162. 162 Angel October 14, 2009 at 8:57 am

He was exhuberant, lived life to the full. He never let any opportunity pass him. He exudes confidence and flair. He was driven to live this way, made this promise to himself after learning to live without for a long time. He lived through the war times, overcame many obstacles to be successful as he was later in his life. He only had himself to depend on for many years before he let other people into his life. Loves art and music, possibly a good dancer, too. He was “treasure” and had an extra perspective on life that many others around him could not always understand, but in time he was respected for this. There is an overwhelming sense of joy around him. While he lived to a high standard, he was also very “down to earth” because he could not forget the hard times he endured and was always ready to help others. A real free spirit and a big capacity to love with his whole heart. Love came into his life later, he was very devoted to that person. I can hear a lot of laughing and music and there is a lot of light and love.

Please note – I did not read any other comments when I posted this reading. :)

  163. 163 Angel October 14, 2009 at 9:05 am

In addition to my previous comment, he just feels very familiar.

  164. 164 michelle sale October 14, 2009 at 3:13 pm

this man has two sides to his character although he appears happy and confident which he shows in public, in private he suffers from depression especially in later life. He also needs is privacy has much has he needs to be near people. This man has a very jealous nature which rears its head around people he really cares for, very fickle in love but when he does fall in love it is really intently. this man has a very artistic nature and also has a love of all beautiful things in life, It would be really difficult to get to know the real person he is which is sensitive, creative and loving life. His childhood although not without money was really difficult his mother would have not shown him the love he so wanted. John was a name that would have meant a lot to him.

  165. 165 Violet October 15, 2009 at 9:27 pm

    Hi Heidi,
    My feelings on the photograph.
This man is closely associated with writing/journalism. As a result of this he travelled extensively abroad. I feel he was born in 1915. The photo is late 1940’s. He has just returned from an abroad assignment.Outwardly he appears confident, has a spring in his step and likes to appear that nothing fazes him. Inwardly he has undergone significant emotional trauma mostly as a child and has problems dealing with that trauma. He loved his mother deeply but I feel she has died before the time of the picture. He has ideas beyond his time and he is not afraid to be controversial. He has a flair for dancing, loves music and the arts. He loves then leaves. Marriage and serious commintment is something he runs from. He has an addictive personality – particularly a liking for the obvious cigarette and alcohol. He knows and despises himself because of this but hides it well within an ever active social life and whirl of superficial friends. This man works hard when against a deadline, thrives on pressure and parties hard. There are 3 spirit figures in the picture. He knows they are with him. Complex soul.

  166. 166 Liam October 16, 2009 at 12:19 am

I think that this man had a very positive attitude. I feel that he was a man that was appreciated by a lot of people, and I think he was close to you, perhaps your father/grandfather. I feel that he may have died un-expectedly, or no-body saw his passing coming.

  167. 167 Shirley October 16, 2009 at 6:53 am

I feel this photo was taken by his new wife on there honeymoon
    in England in 1946.
Can feel his heart beating outside of his chest, he is so
    in love with his wife.
Bit of a comedian, he’s like a magnet, draws people to him.
The side of my left thigh is burning, red hot, did he get burnt.
The year 1969 comes to mind, don’t know why!
    He says he your Grandfather.
Gave me this name T Dyson

  168. 168 kelly October 16, 2009 at 6:02 pm

    - his name is Ron
    - was in car sales then radio
    - has 2 brothers and one sister, Amy (Redding?)
    - mothers name was Beth or Bethany
    - connection with Missisipi
    - illness in 1952 or 1962

fast-talking, confident personality… liked to travel.

  169. 169 cathrine October 17, 2009 at 9:38 pm

his name is Tom. A sad man trying very hard to seem / be happy. He uses sex as an escape.

  170. 170 Danni October 17, 2009 at 10:15 pm

I find something odd about the whole thing like something isn’t what it seems! don’t know what it is but it’s something. Could be thinking too much but I feel it pretty strong
is this pic associated with a newspaper article or magazine advertisement

  171. 171 Vesna October 19, 2009 at 5:12 pm

Environment on the photo accentuated period of late 1940 to early 1950. The man looks self-confident, he is always in some action, playing games, like boy who has never grow up. He cant to be at one place, never satisfied, fast, restless. He is communicative, but good observer, too. He is easily reading people, he could easy manipulate with them. He could be journalist, or trader. He likes gambling, even with feelings. He like to in center of attention, but he is able to provide that like piece of cake. Fastness is his best quality, he has good memory, what helps him to gain money with less problems. He feels that whole world could be under his steps, but he must to find proofs in other people. He is organizable in theory, but less practical. He is kind of Gemini, Aquarius or Cancer type, from astrological point of view.

  172. 172 Debbie October 20, 2009 at 11:02 am

    Hi,
What a lovely man. He has a spring in his step. He feels very healthy and his heart is very open. I feel he would be the person that could bear the brunt of other peoples deepest, darkest secrets. You could trust him – a man who would listerned but didnt absorb and wouldnt gossip.
I feel that although he knew he had the aura of ‘robert redford’ he was very grounded. He had lots of girls attention but never strayed. His wife was his rock. The whole family had a great sense of fun, respected each other and always lookig on the bright side of life.
I keep picking up 4 ‘feminate’ children. 2 strong females and maybe 2 boys (the boys are not coming through as strongly).

He is pleased that his legacy lives on. And was very proud of what he has done. A man of doing the ‘right thing’ with ease. His friends trusted him and he was the ‘boss’. Always had the right answer!!
I pick up the area of ’somewhere’ in London. I am not going to give a name (cos i usually get them wrong!) But i feel he would have had several names maybe nick names to different people. He could adapt and was calm and balanced. To his friends he was a ‘jimmy’, to his employees he was ‘boss’. Grandchildren would address him as granddad (not pa!). Strict but fair with everyone.

Last piece of information, i feel him sitting at a desk reading an article, forearms resting on the edge of the desk leaning forward. He feels strong and focused and he is learning about the human body. He may of only passed in the last few years.

    Thank you,
    Debbie P.

  173. 173 Diane Jones October 20, 2009 at 12:52 pm

I feel this man was slightly impatient, go getter type. Quick to learn and act. He was intelligent and smart and non conformist. I think he invented something in his time which we all use today.

  174. 174 Jane October 20, 2009 at 2:34 pm

    I got the year 1942.
He was in the airforce in the war. Flew planes and was possibly shot down or shot. Something about his right shoulder/back of the right side of his neck. He was a hero in the war. He flew over water.
The letter R for his neame but could not get full name. Also the name Dan/Don. He had two children names Ruthie and Billy/Bill come to mind.
There is a connection with France – maybe that is where he flew or his ancestry ??
He was very close to his mother – loved her very much but here was a sadness there. He showed a photo in a silver frame of a lady in the 1920’s Black n White and was holding it to his heart. Curly shoulder length hair , beautiful film star looks.
He also showed me a blue ribbon and I got the words “Oxford Blue”, I think he rowed in races for Oxford before the war and was v proud of this. He won a cup for it.
I think he is a great uncle. I also think he died young.

  175. 175 Medini October 20, 2009 at 4:41 pm

I feel he loved singing and dancing – also loved to act but not as much as singing and dancing. As a child I can see him playing with a girl and boy probably brother and sister. I can see the town centre and the countryside around him. Probably lived in the countryside but worked in the town. He died of an illness he had for sometime (can’t work out the time) when he was in his 70s. I can see an old woman at his bedside when he died. I can see he also had a lot of girlfriends.

  176. 176 Anne October 20, 2009 at 9:27 pm

    Hi Heidi

I’ve never tried this before but here goes.

Things that came up were that he worked in a bank for a while. The place Wandsworth came with that although it could be a name? I also got the names Blossom and Joe.

Morecambe or Morecambe Bay keeps popping into my head and that he had trouble with his lungs – possibly cancer.

I’m also drawn to his midriff but not sure why – some issue in lower abdomen?

Would be very interested to know more.

  177. 177 Faye Low October 21, 2009 at 9:03 pm

He is an actor although mainly a dancer? flamboyant lifestyle, doesn’t care attitude. I’m sensing that outwardly he was very carefree almost arrogant with it. But inside he was lonely and deeply traumatised but he couldn’t show the world that, he was hiding a secret. He died young early 30’s? possible question mark around drugs, suicide

I immediately received the impressions that this man was very charismatic, successful and charming. Jaunty, likeable, a lovely man. I didn’t feel that he was married or had children but that he was close to his family, maybe a sister and brother. I also felt that he met with an untimely death, possibly an auto accident. He was not wealthy but was comfortable and a good businessman.

    Hello Heidi,

Thanks for the photo and this experiment.
I think this man is a relative possibly an uncle and i get the name of Frank.
He served in the Royal Navy during the war on destroyers or a corvette, was part of gun crew and served with distinction, a reluctant hero.
Did get a ships name of HMS Glamgorgan but since found that ship was in the Falklands war.
Enjoyed life in the navy and stayed on for a while after the war ended.

The photo was taken about July/August 1956 in England somewhere in the midlands.
He liked cricket and also rugby so a sporty active type and i think he had a connection with a university but maybe not to study there.

I feel that he died of lung cancer in his early 60’s leaving something not finished.

Was a good man and hard worker, played hard too.

  180. 180 Amanda Evans October 23, 2009 at 9:21 am

This was a great idea and fun too. Here are my impressions:

My impressions of this man are that he is a confident individual probably quite successful. I would say that he is a family man living in the 1940’s. he is happy and caring and I get the impression that he is a creative type or a person who works with finances. In this picture he is dressed casually and this is not his normal attire. I feel that the location of this picture is Ireland or there is a connection with Ireland. I get the name Patrick or John but there is a strong feeling of the name Clive too.

Would love to hear how right I am.

    Amanda

A medium to the other side i feel, and a i see trains and cars around him.

  182. 182 Wendy October 23, 2009 at 6:23 pm

I feel this man has now passed to spirit and would have been in his 80’s when he passed over, possibly from a stroke. Felt he had a lot more weight on him when he passed over.

There is a daughter remaining here along with two grandsons.

This man would have been the life and soul of the party; a bit of a ‘Jack the lad’ who could charm the birds out of the trees, would have loved practical jokes, and a ladies’ man!

Liked to be with ‘the lads’ a lot and have a few drinks. People were drawn to him because of his charm.

Feel he would have been happy ‘tinkering’ under the bonnet of cars. I feel a MORGAN car would play a role in his life.

Felt the name RICKY would link with this man, also Fred or Frederick, Frank, and George.

He would have played cricket (on a beach at times) or loved to watch it in his spare time.

Also loved his music, preferably ROCK ‘n’ Roll. “Born to be wild” popped into my head!

Would have been a bit of a gambler (casino/horse racing) and also a film buff making regular visits to the cinema. Possibly even having small walk on parts in movies or being backstage in the theatre.

I get a strong connection with AMERICA with this man (in particular San Francisco); possibly lived there for a while, also FRANCE. Think he may have travelled quite a lot during his lifetime.

For some reason I kept looking at his feet in the photograph?

A very proud chap who would have taken a lot of care over his appearance. Very smart dresser.

I got links to Newcastle and Staffordshire and also the coast of England. Possibly done foundry work at some point or has links to this area of work

A very gentle kind hearted man who wouldn’t show his feelings, but who mellowed towards his latter years.

  183. 183 Julie W October 24, 2009 at 9:15 pm

Ok after looking at this man these are my immediate thoughts:-
That he was a very social person, had lots of friends and aquaintances and also acquaintances for business interest. He looks like he would have enjoyed drinking and socialising and looks like he would hang out as one of the lads but also be a bit of a charmer with theladies. I think he would have had a number of woman but perhaps would not have been the faithful type. He looks like he may have been in business and had his own business and was possibly a bit of a wheeler dealer and not always honest, perhaps play people off to get what he wanted and put money and being successful first.
I think he would have been a very likable character and probably showed a different side to his family and partner to the side others may have seen. He looks like he would have had some sisters and had a good relationship with his mother but perhaps not so much with his father.
Wonder if any of that is right!

  184. 184 Sue October 25, 2009 at 7:36 am

This photo has been changed in some ways since my earlier comments. Now I see a very strong aura and realise he is not smiling as I first thought.

  185. 185 Debbie October 25, 2009 at 4:47 pm

This is such an interesting and original thing to do. I’m supprised it not been done before. I’ve no experience and am going with my first instincts, so here goes.
I’m thinking he was a bit of an entertainer, liked to make people laugh. A bit of a comedian. Loved music, dancing. traditional Sunday dinners. Worked or played music with his hands at some point. Lived, worked on the falm, driving tractors. Something happened to his foot and my first instincts were drawn just below his waist, prostate area, sickness?
oh yeah and he loved football.

  186. 186 Ray October 25, 2009 at 9:32 pm

I thought the year was 1939 and his first name was Alex, the country was the U/K and the town was around Cambridge!

  187. 187 aimeelisa October 26, 2009 at 7:06 pm

i feel cold when i look at this picture, more of a nippy brisk cold. names like jake and joe come to mind.

  188. 188 aimeelisa October 27, 2009 at 3:29 am

I sense something is wrong or affecting his left side, either of his body or something happened to him very profoundly that came from the left direction

  189. 189 aimeelisa October 27, 2009 at 4:32 am

something is wrong with his right ankle…i still feel cold everytime i look at the picture, be it the physical picture you sent me or the internet picture. he is a calming presence.

  190. 190 aimeelisa October 27, 2009 at 4:40 am

he comes to me “3-d” popping out of the picture. i have to say, this is the first day with him, i wonder the next days

  192. 192 Lee October 28, 2009 at 2:24 pm

I`m getting the name charles or charlie. This photo was possibly taken shortly before his death!

I`m picking up that he may have been American and possibly stationed here during the war. He would have been a pilot or in the airforce, certainly with a strong link to flying, maybe an aircraft mechanic?

He was not married but maybe had a girlfriend back home or somewhere that could be quite a distance.

I`m also picking up on music and dancing, maybe he was a musician?

  193. 193 Gaynor October 28, 2009 at 7:48 pm

Phew..had to scroll though lots to get here and try not to scan any of them for clues lol.

I see a man who is actually very quiet unless he is with people he knows well. He has a very dry sense of humour and loves practical jokes. I think he was quite naughty in his youth but as he got older, became very family orientated.

I see a uniform but not worn with pleasure.

I feel a tightness of the chest an itis hard to breath…though that could be my own flu talking lol.

  194. 194 Emily October 28, 2009 at 8:05 pm

Born around 1920’s, bit of a jack the lad……cheeky character, happy go lucky. Possible worked within sales. He is definately still around in spirit, have a strong sence of his presence, but don’t feel threatened in any way. I think he had a good life & was a kind gentleman, family man.

  195. 195 Emily October 28, 2009 at 8:21 pm

I still have this man whith me, he won’t go away!!! I think he wants something from me but can’t figure out what?! My head is going to explode…….but still not feeling threatened….i’m feeling sad & thinking he is seeking some kind of forgivness or closure……

  196. 196 Gabriele October 28, 2009 at 10:21 pm

    Hello Heidi

I think, this man used to be a bundle of fun. If I should give him a star sign, I would say Gemini. When I look at his picture I feel the urge to giggle. He didn’t take life too seriously and was always able to see the funny side. I can see him cheering up small children with tricks like a coin behind their ears and the like. He is good with children, but I don’t think of him as a great family man. More like a favourite uncle. I think the burdens of family life would feel quite heavy for him. He seems sporty to me and he likes to travel. Great company, could entertain the party all by himself…
    Well, you get the picture.

    Love

    Gabriele

I picked up your Internalional psychic research and here is what I pick up on the guy in the photo.

The era is 1930’s The guy is pleased he got away with something, either he has just conned someone or perhaps won money on horse betting (gambling) feeling elated about it.

He is very grommed outwardly but holds lots of sadness inside.

He is very popular with his male friends and lots of women are attracted to him. He is sure of himself.

He works in a well sought after job like a bank clerk or male model. He does not work with any manual heavy labour.

He is of Irish decent although lived in UK. And he was good fun to be with.

  199. 199 Aimeelisa October 29, 2009 at 5:52 am

Today I see a green inner and orangy yellow aura around him, or maybe I’m staring at my computer screen too long. Outwardly, he portrays confidence, but inside he harbors insecurities and doubts. He is strong for someone he loves, for his smile seems forced but not fake. Why is there noone in the street? That has been in the back of my mind.

  200. 200 Alix October 29, 2009 at 1:11 pm

Gosh I really hope we all find out who he was!! I can’t wait to know!!
He was a gentleman, enjoyed the gentler sports – eg cricket/badminton/golf/boules
Upper middle class. Lots of garden parties & victoria sponge cake!! Enjoys dancing, he has light and tappy feet! Extremely charismatic, but in a charming way rather than sleazy kind of way.
I think he was in uniform at one point. I can’t decide on his profession…i see him at an office typewriter but I also see him on the stage. Perhaps he was an actor/play write – or maybe he was an admin based professional with a flamboyant side. Not sure.
I’m picking up his name could be Joe/Jack/John – or maybe Bobby.
He looks like great fun, I really like him, I think he could make me laugh and I wish I’d known him. :o )
    Alix.

A Grandad yours i think, happy carefree man, honest true, a good man, woman he loves took the picture. just came home from somewhere (keep getting the feeling of war) the car in the picture is his and he is proud of it, but humbly so, appreciated everything he got and it was hard earned. he rushed to get to meet his girl. era 50’s something about his stomach. I see an orb around his stomach in this picture.

  202. 202 catriona October 30, 2009 at 8:52 pm

this man was English, 1922 – 1983. An actor/ artist/writer. Easy going, enjoyed a bohemian lifestyle. Was he Heidi’s father/grandfather? the word seesaw comes up. I give up!

  203. 203 HappyLight October 31, 2009 at 2:45 am

The first impression I got when I looked at this man’s picture was that he was an aviator. Also, I felt that he was very athletic . . . . a long distance runner and possibly swimmer. He passed away in an accident involving a fiery explosion. He was an international traveler, spending time in Australia among Maori culture. He was an optimistic spirit with a great sense of humor and very fun-loving, almost childlike. He reminds me of my own father.

  204. 204 sakshi kaushik October 31, 2009 at 4:25 pm

this picture seems to be of 1960’s…… he seems to be french…..probably died of some deadly disease…….seems to me a happy go lucky person…. n d name tat is striking me is vince or vincent

  205. 205 Lisa November 1, 2009 at 11:34 am

My thoughts were that he liked to drink and that his luck ran out. When I looked back at the picture it was no longer black and white, but black and pink….

  206. 206 Patricia November 1, 2009 at 11:54 am

This is the first time I have tried doing this but here goes.
The man in the picture strikes me as easy-going, but a little shy. The way he is walking in the middle of the road gives him a devil may care look. He likes to dress well and probably is popular with the ladies. He looks like he has money but doesn’t labour for it. Maybe he works for the government. However there is also the air of the actor about him.
He gives the impression of an independent upbringing; he had to take care of himself and this has given him the self sufficient air. Perhaps he was a boarder as a school child.
Could he have been gay? But not out in the open. Despite the jocular walk there is a sense of unease.
Can almost hear him telling the photographer to take the photo in a particular way; the cigarette facing just-so; the newspaper tucked under the arm; hand in pocket just like a model.
An attractive man; could be hard to get behind the persona but once you did you would find a gentle, caring man with a lot of love to give.

  207. 207 Anndee November 2, 2009 at 1:42 pm

When I first held this photo and concentrated on it I saw the image of a raonbow. I sense this man was a fun chap , he liked fun and a laugh , I think he was connected to factories in some way . There is water connected to him and I sense he lived in Derby or perhaps its Tenby. He liked cycling , cricket and the horses. He smoked and was married and had children possibly 4. I sense the names James and catrer . And the colours blue and black . I think he died in the 1980’s . I think he may have been your grandfather Heidi on your mother’s side .

  208. 208 Diane Tyrrell November 3, 2009 at 6:31 pm

My first instincts were that this man is an artist of some kind. He appears confident by his stride, but is quiet and a caring family man whoms he loves and cares for, and I feel he is still about them. I am getting grandparent of Heidi, Irish, loved a drink, was happy go lucky earlier in life, saucy with the ladies but in a nice way like my dad was. Loved playing music, bit of a joker loved a laugh Had a love of boats. Enjoyed classical music, dancing and generally having fun. Was married for about 10 years became ill, lower pary of body, prostate or round that area. Lived in the North of England possibly Bolton or Preston. Had 2 children boy and girl. Gwen
Sam being offered here. Was hard worker. Enjoyed roast dinners especially his yorkshires. Liked plain but wholesome food. Enjoyed his “spuds”. Loved to please his family, was always planning surprises for them. Had a happy life. Loved animals had a dog. Not too fond of birds. Liked his tweeds, not too happy wearing a tie. Liked to look smart but casual. Is sending his love to his family and says he is taking care of them and will always be there for them – just ask or talk to him. Is saying not to overdo things and take time for yourself more and not always for others is happy with what you do.

  209. 209 Serena November 5, 2009 at 4:22 pm

The first thing that sprang to mind is two significant time frames 1964 and 1969. Then the words tennis player…he either enjoyed tennis or was connected to a tennis player. He was known as a joker and was quite jovial and kind. He seems famous in his own right, either for some skill or leaving a legacy of some sort behind him! I am getting the feeling of an alcoholic brother which upset/worried him (behind the joviality) and there was a tragedy or death of some sort with his wife (after this picture was taken) There are 3 significant names: Cornelius (possibly shortened or nick-named) Jane and Mason.

  210. 210 margaret November 7, 2009 at 5:45 am

This man I get the name Patrick. see Dice very strong. cards. he is a fathr of a girl maybe yours. As a child he grew up in rural area perhaps a farm.. Later in life he became a diabetic, bad circulation. llost a limb complication of ADA is wht killed him. I see a love of water with him.

  211. 211 Kristin K November 7, 2009 at 5:23 pm

I’m sensing his name was Robert, Bobbie, Robbie or Rob.
I’m sensing he was breaking into the actor or entertainment field and then caught a lucky break in business. He was became, or was becoming quite well known ‘behind the scenes’, possibly in the entertainment field. It has something to do with business. I’m sensing he died young – not real young – but not real old. He was right on the verge of a huge breakthrough – busting down doors in a good way. His life was cut short, but it was more to help others around him. He came to do what he needed to do to get things going and made his exit at a time when others around him needed to learn and push themselves to finish what he started. I’m sensing there is a Roxie associated with him. If not Roxie, it’s some kind of name or attitude like that. This girl had tons of spunk and mourned his death. He’s not really dead – only in human form. It’s like he was always more spirit than human. He was very advanced. It’s like he always knew what he was here to do. He’s laughing and having a jolly good time watching others down here scramble. He was a great guy!

hi, just had a quick look at this gentleman and instantly thought of him as an actor just walking off set. he lookes care free but hes got allot of worries hidden deep down, his father has passed with heart problems about 1-2 yrs before the photo was tacken. his mother isnt well at this time either!! he has a beautifull wife and one child around 2 yrs old there are money problems around him and it bothers him greatly!! i get the feeling this photo was tacken in more recent times but was set out to look like old times. this gentleman passes with problems with his head perhaps an anyerism or a bleed on the brain. he is frequently seen as a spirit by someone close to him even now. thankyou

  216. 216 Alessandra Barbon November 8, 2009 at 1:18 pm

When I looked at the picture these things immediately came to my mind: 1) There was an R in his name such as Ronald, Robert or Ronnie; 2)He was someone’s great or grandfather; 3) Something in his eyes seems to indicate a connection to Heidi; 4) Travel and aeroplanes featured in his life. Maybe he was a pilot during the war, or worked as an engineer, or has an interest in aircrafts, or travelled afar in his life. I felt there was a connection to America and Australia, New South Wales more likely.

Looking at the picture again I wonder if he liked writing. Maybe he kept a diary, or occasionally wrote articles. Did he like betting? He took pride in his appearance and was a popular guy but he did not always share his most private thoughts and feelings.

  217. 217 JULIE C November 8, 2009 at 1:23 pm

He seems to be happy go lucky,i feel has he is your grandad from the 1940,s. clacton on sea comes to mind, did he pass away from a stomach related illness,i feel as though he was a journalist or worked in advertising.i see him looking out at sea.

I sense a young confident individual. He could possibly be an actor or celebrity as he draws people to him with his energy.
He looks happy as though he has just recieved some fabulous news and wants to kick his heels up in celebration.
I think he was a father that was adored by his children. Two names come to me on is Brian and the other is Nigel.
I think i would have liked him if i had known him, i feel like i know him after looking at his pic.

confident, not terribly rich or successful, but he was determined and kept on going. he was a flirt, loved parties or social outings and was suave with the ladies. for some reason i feel he was one of those you either love him or hate type of persons. an aries perhaps. full of energy. i didn’t get anything about kids or spouse or anything. at this point in time i think he was single. i got the impression he felt handsome and powerful at times and then like a complete bum at others. i got 30s as timeframe.

hi ,got in on this a little late re man in picture
I see a man who at that moment loved life who loved his comforts.who possessed a certain selfcontrol. He seems to move with a confident freedom, bit of a rebel.
Independent as far as the world knew.I feel he was in love with someone. I’ll keep studying this pic

  227. 227 Dawne R Richardson November 8, 2009 at 10:09 pm

I purposely made myself NOT read the other comments prior to posting. As tempting as it was, I somehow managed. I’ll type it as I saw it. So… here goes:

A jokester… an “actor” – lover of music, women & wine.
As a little boy – sheep, horses & train engine sounds. I see him touching a piano and looking up at a solid woman with thick legs.
Quick witted, sharp, clever, a bit mischievous and at times could be quite sneaky… good spirited and a good helper.
Envision a black/white photo of a little boy wearing a striped shirt holding a toy.
Had a little saying or quote of sorts he’d oftentime repeat/share in reference to dealing with life’s experiences.

Also… while studying his photo I saw a one time brunette who’s now blond (or vice versa) wearing a red wrap dress and deep red lipstick.

  228. 228 Dawne R Richardson November 8, 2009 at 10:19 pm

One more thing… something to do with newspapers, periodicals & publishing – a published writer/columnist.

  229. 229 mary November 8, 2009 at 10:35 pm

Taken in 1943 a light hearted man, very friendly with a wicked sense of humour. Very popular with the ladies until he married, now very happy with his family two boys and a girl. He is very keen on sport, at school he played football for the team but after breaking his right ankle he had to give it up. loves going horseracing and having a bet. Travels a lot with work could have been in the film buisness. smokes to much through the pressure of work, I think he died with a lung problem.

I friend has just sent this to me. I am unfamiliar with the site.

I feel this man is energetic.Somewhat selfcentered. Passionate in relationships but not in a committed one when this was taken. I get the names George and Charles linked to this man. He liked sport, he watched cricket but played rugby at school or higher education place. He was reasonably well educated. At this time he lived with his mother. Married later, a Mary. He had two daughters. I got a H sounding name , Hazel or Heidi. Photo’ taken late 1940’s to early 1950’s. I also get Coventry. I feel he worked with figures, probably accounts.

He is a man who lived in the 1930s and was happy and fit but was affected by the Great Depression in some way. He was well known even famous. He was perhaps psychic too so that is why he is easy to “read” now.
At the end of his life he was full of grief having lost so many friends and family but was happy with the full life that he had lived. There were a great many souls that met him on the other side when he crossed over. I see birds around his head and small animals around his feet. and angels.

    Hi there Heidi

Bob, comes to mine quite strongly.

Happy go lucky person, I dont feel he’s had alot of success in his life, but things are starting to look up for him. I feel that he has just recently met someone, someone that has captured his heart.

Troubled upbringing, strong relationship with his mother but not so strong with his father, or maybe a step father.

For some reason, irish or english decent flows in.

A risk taker, bit of a gambler (horses and poker), likes the ladies, beers with his mates, sense of human. Can be a firey person, short wicked.

The lady that caught his heart is the mother to his children, surrounding by children, 3 girls maybe 4 Patrica seems to come to mind, maybe named after his mother who he very much treasured, this may have been the name of a daughter, dont feel he had sisters maybe brothers, always fighting as they do. Relationship with the brothers somewhat distant.

He may have served in the war but did not serve long due to injury with his right leg.

I am guessing there is a close connection between you and this guy maybe hes your grandfather and patrica is your mother.

I’m not very sure what i read from this, it kind of looks like a man from a movie. I get a mized feeling. Either he is in deep thought and worried, possibly about knew news or a big decision. Or hes walking with his wife or girlfriend and she was taking a picture of him.. im not too sure.

  235. 235 Vasiliki November 9, 2009 at 11:06 am

This man lived a jumbled and frivolous life. He loved pleasures, living in the night, drinking, partying. He had many friends once, but he was left with few, if any.
He had many women, but some of them exploited him and took money from him. Then they left him. There was one woman who remained faithful to him for all her life. Some others who never forgot him. He died at a relatively young age, with a ruined health. Despite his ‘weaknesses’ he was a really good man. Charming, charismatic, he somehow fell a victim of his own ‘gifts’, he used them almost only for his pleasure and not to build a stable life. He had a certain allure around him that could create illusions. He would have been a good actor, or other kind of a performer, if he had pursued it seriously. He had this ‘knack’ to catch people’s breath. When he was still healthy.
    love and blessings

It was scary for me to allow myself to tune in to the man in the picture….my third eye was in pain and i had images come to me all night. First a little boy, i am not sure if this was his son or the man in the picture during earler life,…..lovely little boy, cheeky!!
Then a woman and a little girl who were loved so much by the man in the picture, he was so proud of them.

Then a feeling of America and the movies….may be he had a passion for this.

Then a picture of a man in RAF uniform.

The man in the picture had just come into some money, perhaps it was pay day!!

My general feeling about the picture is that the man was in good spirits, he was fast, energetic, cheeky and charming and friendly.

There is however some shadow in his face, some pain, something that he to needed to let go of….it was an underlying worry or memory.

He may have been related to Hiedi, perhaps it was her father or uncle or grandfather.
    beautiful x

I have a whole range of feelings about this guy. He has a wicke sens eof humour, but has a quick temper as well. I feel that he will have done a lot of writing for his employment, whether literary or reports-based I’m not sure but he had a desk in a small room with an old-fashioned black phone on the right-hand side. He was right-handed, suffered stress at work and may have suffered trauma to his right leg late in his life (possibly losing the lower part of his leg? My knee still hurts, in any case). The names Declan and George seem to be connected (Declan came through stronger, George followed later)

  238. 238 Nigel Finch November 9, 2009 at 1:16 pm

When I stared at the photograph I thought of the name Terry (Terence) and that he’s a jounalist in the late 1930’s

  239. 239 laura Harris November 9, 2009 at 4:50 pm

His name is Trevor or he’s connected to a Trevor, he was an actor or sorts not overly successful in that. He was married a couple of times and one of his wives is Dorothy. He had 2 children. i feel he may have been a drinking and passed with associated problems (liver) later on in his life. I feel he may have become quite angry also or dissapointed with his success.

  240. 240 Kuckie November 9, 2009 at 6:13 pm

i want to try the experiment.
    my first thoughts were:
    a young man,attractive,has money,unmarried,business guy.
    he lived like in(between) : 40-70’s
his character: charming, happy, decided, serious but still has some sort of sense of humor.

its my first try.for 2 days i think i will keep in touch whit the experiment and i will study this man a little bit more.

i will comment later to,i am very curious what i will dream tonight, maybe i will find something new-about this man i hope-.

  241. 241 Debbie November 9, 2009 at 9:48 pm

    Hi

Was he a twin? I also saw a girl with black hair sort of turning around to look and thenturn quickly away like as if her skirt was swishing as she danced???

I am too impatient to tune in properly I think.

    Debbie

  242. 242 Jenny November 9, 2009 at 10:31 pm

I got the name Roger. A funny guy, loves to be sociable, not all that good at telling jokes but loved by many. Died in his early 70’s around 1976. Unmarried when photo was taken. Irish in his background, although I don’t feel that he is Irish. Loves up beat music and going to dances and watching boxing. I get jiving or some lively dance that he likes. Theatrical and liked the theatre. Someone had died who was close to him before the photo was taken. He is careful about his appearance, especially his shoes. I see him wearing a uniform, although I don’t think he was in the forces. He is a working man and very talented at making things, particularly carpentry. He has a love of sport cars. He liked water and boats. Married later in life and had 2 children. I also get that he likes jam!

  243. 243 Vikki November 10, 2009 at 12:31 am

I get the feeling he is a relative of yours or there is some way you relate to him.

He is a vibrant person and loves sports. He has a very lively mind and is very keen. He is very confident in himself. In this picture he has just gotten some good news that is making him feel good.

In the future he had some personal trials and disappointments. I feel he was married and had children and was beloved by his family.

I feel in some way he did not accomplish what he wanted to in life although he had a good life in many ways.

hi i feel he is a well liked man quite cheeky in his attitude to people sure of himself he knows what he likes & what he wants to achive in life i would say the picture was taken in the late 50’s. He has a happy go lucky attitude to life & looks like he enjoys a wee punt on the horses or some other form of gamblng.
like all of u he has made mistaes in is life & learned from them some of them the hard way which has made him the man he was. A couple of time i have been drawn to his stomach area he has had some kind of problem with it im not sure if it was serious or not

  246. 246 Catherine November 10, 2009 at 7:55 pm

  249. 249 angie November 11, 2009 at 4:05 pm

He looks very carefree but he doesn’t have much money or a job. He lives for the now and worry about things later. He is just interested in having a good time. He hasn’t decided on his future plans or goals yet he feels he has plenty of time. I say he is in his mid 20’s.

  250. 250 karen pearson November 11, 2009 at 5:54 pm

    karen

  251. 251 Teresa November 12, 2009 at 10:56 pm

He strikes me as an out-going character who lived in the 1920s. A single ladies man who may have worked in a factory and has lots of mates.

  252. 252 Linda November 13, 2009 at 9:49 am

Happy go lucky, 29 year old. Was a twin. Went on to be very successful in something that remains with us today.
Did not have an easy childhood. Very special human being, spiritually free.

  253. 253 JC November 13, 2009 at 11:26 am

After inspecting this photo, the name Jimmy rang in my head. A person who everyone liked or that very cared if people liked him because of a personal insecurity that he never shared and preferred to keep to himself about. He loved music and maybe thought he could sing and dance better than he really he could and was not shy when it came to music. This picture was taken sometime in in late 40’s early 50’s. Also possibly couldve been someone lucky at playing cards, a poss card shark. Picture was taken somewhere in the US.

    Thanks for the lesson.

    JC

I’m thinking he was born in the mid to late 1940’s. He is a confident person, fun loving and happy. It seems as though for his family he would go along with just about anything to have fun. he liked to take chances and for some crazy reason I keep lookin at his feet.
